My heart is hurting! As summer comes to an end so does one of the best shows that has graced our screens recently! The Summer I Turned Pretty is ending this week and to mark its finale, I thought I would share a recipe fit for a morning or evening at the summerhouse in Cousins!
Good Morning Lovelies,
Summer is officially over! The Summer I Turned Pretty is coming to an end this week and I don’t think my heart can handle it! There so, I thought I would share a recipe with you all that will bring a bit of Cousins magic into our hearts.
Perfect for both breakfast and as a pudding, this peach and blueberry crisp will have you thinking about that peach scene endlessly! The only thing that could make this recipe better is if Conrad baked it himself! I think it would definitely get his approval…
Ingredients
Four Ripe Sliced Peaches
One Cup of Fresh or Frozen Blueberries
Half a Cup of Sugar
One Tablespoon of Lemon Juice
Half a Teaspoon of Cinnamon
One Cup of Oats
Half a Cup of Plain Flour
Half a Cup of Brown Sugar
Half a Cup of Melted Butter
Tools
A Medium Sized Baking Dish
Two Mixing Bowls
Two Mixing Spoons
Method
- Start by preheating your oven to 175°C/350°F before greasing a medium baking dish.
- In a mixing bowl, add in the peaches, blueberries, sugar, lemon juice and cinnamon and mix until just combined. Pour into the baking dish and level the top out.
- Taking another mixing bowl, add in the oats, flour, brown sugar and melted butter, stirring or rubbing together until crumbly.
- Sprinkle the topping evenly over the top of the fruit in the baking dish.
- Place into the oven and bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden and bubbly.
- Once ready, remove from the oven and serve warm with either custard, cream or vanilla ice cream!
This fruity crisp is perfect food to tuck into whilst watching the finale lovelies! What do you all think is going to happen? All I know is is that I am team Conrad all the way!
