Get ready to have your gorgeous breakfast, lunch or dinner time porridge changed for the absolute better lovelies!

Good Morning Lovelies,

As someone who hates runny foods, I mentioned how I like my porridge to be chewy. A bit like a flapjack in texture, which led to many of you reaching out to ask me how I make it like that. Therefore, I thought I would share with you all my recipe on how to make a big hearty bowl of goodness using three simple ingredients!

This recipe may not be for everyone to start with but I promise you all that once you have tried your porridge like this you will love it! And yes, I always allow extra honey to be added on top! In fact I encourage it!

Grab those bowls and spoons lovelies to start enjoying this chewy porridge as soon as possible…

Ingredients

80g of Flavahan’s Jumbo Oats (This Is My Favourite Brand But You Can Use Yours)

160ml of Boiling Water

Rowse Dark Honey (As Much As You Like!)

Tools

A Microwavable Bowl

A Spoon

Method

  1. In a microwavable bowl, add in the oats and water. Stir to combine, ensuring the oats are hydrated but not too much. They should be soft but also a little dry looking (they won’t be though!).
  2. Place into the microwave for four and a half minutes to allow the oats to absorb the water.
  3. Remove and top with a little extra water if needed. Scrap the sides and place back into the microwave for another four and a half minutes.
  4. Remove and scarp the sides of the bowl again. Don’t mix at all, as you want a chewy and slightly crunchy top.
  5. Making a little hole on the top, pour in some honey before dressing round the top. Place back into the microwave for two minutes to warm the honey to allow it to soak into the porridge.
  6. Remove and pour on some more honey before p,acing into the microwave for another minute.
  7. Once hot, with the honey soaked in, remove and enjoy! You can add fruit, some chocolate or more honey if you like!

I know that this isn’t the most healthiest version of honey but I am trying to learn to believe that everything should be enjoyed and this has helped me a lot with my ED recovery. Plus, it is super adaptable lovelies, so you can make it with a much or as little as you like! It is super delicious though, I can guarantee that to you all lovelies!
