Good Morning Lovelies,
Half term is upon us, which means that finding things to do with the whole family it’s now a daily struggle! However, if you are taking a trip to London this half term, it doesn’t have to be anymore thanks to Hamleys!
To mark this special time off from school and every single day of the year, the world’s oldest toy shop has created a list of fun events that everyone can enjoy for free in their Regent Street store.
Starting at 10am in the morning, you and your little ones can enjoy the opening parade, before experiencing special events and daily events including tea parties, friendship bracelet making, puppet shows, dance parties and face painting.
Whenever I have ever been to Hamleys, I have always left in amazement. I become like Tom Hanks in Big, I just want to play with everything and bring it home too. I just love the whole atmosphere and the positivity within the building.
With so much free stuff to do and take home, it really is the perfect place to spend half term for little to no costs at all. To find out all the details, head to their dedicated events page, which is kept up to date each week with what is going on.
I’m gutted I missed the Bluey event to be honest, however, I will now be watching the events page throughout the year to make sure I don’t miss it again! What will you all be hoping to see at the oldest toy shop in the world lovelies? Whatever and whenever it may be, I hope you have endless amounts of fun!

Good Morning Lovelies,
Yesterday, the circus came to town, as we got invited to see THE RUCKUS, a new show by The Revel Puck Circus! With all ages and audiences welcome to come along and watch, the theatre was rammed with people seeking to be thrilled. And boy, were we!
Seated in the big top, the set looked small, however, when the show kicked off it was anything but. Centred around the myths and legends of London, the circus follows a story about human connection. The power it has and can bring you, when the relationships are so strong. This is a key element when you see the cast throwing themselves around the big top.
The team work hard on making shows that are accessible for all and this new feature works perfectly well in doing so. The cast include the audience, making what seems like a simple set into a full blown spectacular.
Every moment is draw dropping for young audience members, whilst continuously entertaining adult viewers. The story doesn’t go the way you plan meaning you are gripped from start to finish. The circus is unlike any you may have seen or heard of before. All in a very very good way.
Running for around two hours, your eyes and mind are kept captivated from start to finish. The room is alive and not just from the performances. The audiences reactions too. Having never been a huge fan of the circus before. This has definitely changed my mind.
On until the 1st January, the Walthamstow based show is not one to miss. Take the whole family if you can for a festive feel-good piece, which will be very different but as equally entertaining as the theatre. Head to their website to find out how you can get tickets because you seriously need to see this lovelies!

Good Morning Lovelies,
If I was to say the line, “I am not a Stick, I am Stick Man,” would you know what I am talking about? If you don’t then you definitely need to find out all about it. A few Christmas’ ago, the BBC adapted the world famous book, Stick Man, by Julia Donaldson on TV. It was the cutest show I watched all of the festive season. I think I watched it about three or four times on catch up after it was aired. I simply loved the magic of watching it come alive.
So, when on a trip to London over the weekend, I couldn’t help but be incredibly grateful when I was given the opportunity to watch it on stage along with my family and friends. With two adults and two children taking to the Leicester Square Theatre, we were quick to settle in to the 55 minute show.
Just a few minutes away from Leicester Square tube station, the theatre is cosy and comfortable. There is enough room for lots of families, which on the day there were many of. With such a short run time for the average show, it is a great first step into the West End world. The littlest one in our group was able to hold her attention throughout, laughing and cheering when everyone else did. As for older children, they were also really impressed and entertained. I count myself as one of these aha!
With three shows every day, the production is beautifully done, with gorgeous set pieces and script. The whole set up allows for your childhood mind to return and for childlike wonder to sparkle when it comes to the younger ones. As actors take to the stage to perform, you find yourself watching them take on many different roles, which I worried would confuse the little ones, however, they were gripped throughout and took it in their stride. Something I feel was helped by the beautiful music, which is the same as the feature length TV adaptation.
I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about watching the show, as I was such a fan of the TV film. Yet, I was so happy with what I watched that I couldn't help but be in awe of it. I wanted to share the glory of the different forms the actors took. The festive beauty of the stage settings and characters, who flowed through each season easily. The way everyone laughed at the joyful innocent moments being displayed on stage. It was truly magical. Especially before Christmas!
Overall, I would definitely recommend the show for everyone to enjoy at Christmas or not. It is a beautiful, light hearted piece, which whilst not having all the glitz and glamour of a big production, is just as powerful as one. I hope that those who wish to see it do, because you will remember it forever. Plus, when you watch the TV adaptation afterwards, it feels even more special.
Check it out before it ends at the Leicester Square Theatre on the 2nd January 2024 lovelies by heading to their website! You will all want to be a part of the Stick family after seeing it!

Over the weekend, we delved into the full force of Christmas here on the blog! Splitting my time between London and Blackpool, I felt like I couldn’t embrace Christmas more. So much so I am going to be decorating my tree in two weeks time! I am currently planning the whole process.
However, this weekend, I was able to enjoy it to the max with my whole family. Especially when I was given an amazing breakfast experience at the Hard Rock Cafe in London’s Piccadilly Circus.
Kindly, after reaching out to see what was happening in the capital over the weekend, I was given an amazing chance to enjoy a complimentary breakfast, along with my family, as well as breakfast cocktails and two breakfasts and milkshakes for the kids. Plus, an unlimited amount of soft drinks for the whole family. Honestly, when I was given this opportunity I couldn’t believe it.
Upon arriving at the rockets restaurant in London, we were amazed by the beautiful building. Yet, it was what was in the building that really mattered. The music was blaring. The rockstars outfits were shining. The lyrics were being sung by all inside. There wasn’t anything boring about this venue to say the least.
Seated downstairs, with the upstairs having been turned into a shop, the whole room was kitted out in memorabilia. In a comfy sofa-like booth, everyone got excited about what they were going to choose. Starting with our orders for drinks, we decided on a classic cup of tea (£4.40), from the legends that are Twinings of London, who have their first ever shop very close to the cafe and a super sweet but delicious strawberry basil lemonade (£7.60). A drink that was so fresh, even down to the added strawberries in it, it felt like summer had returned.
For the two children, they both had the diner-style milkshakes (£7.45 each), chocolate flavoured, which were nearly bigger than them. When they came out to our table, you could see the ice cream melting into a thick, delicious, shake, with the whipped cream on top swirling into it to make it perfect. Both couldn’t stop drinking them, as they waited for their breakfast.
Quick to take our order, the staff, who sang as they worked, were happy to provide both adults with the full English breakfasts (£14 each) and the two kids with a Lil’Rocker sized stack of fresh pancakes (£9.75 each including a drink!). Within the full English breakfast was fresh roasted vine-ripened tomatoes, mushrooms, grilled smoked bacon, crispy hash browns that were the best we had tasted ever, baked beans, a thick Cumberland sausage and a perfectly poached egg, which was picked from a choice of fried, scrambled and poached. Plus, some beautifully toasted sourdough, which was not too crispy but also not too soft. Perfect toast consistency.
In regards to the pancakes, the kids were faced with a fine stack of goodness. Topped with fresh berries and banana, the pancakes were drizzled with homemade hot fudge chocolate sauce, which was soon smeared on their faces. Even after the full English breakfasts, all the table had to try some. It was safe to say that by the end of it, everyone was happy and satisfied. Honestly, we were so full we didn’t need anything for hours after and were super cosy and warm, leaving us ready to rock out and roam around London afterwards.
Having never been to the Hard Rock Cafe before, I would happily return again with the whole family. Everyone left with a warm, happy smile and tummy afterwards, with plenty of memories to behold. It was a great way to start the first day of the trip and the kids will remember it forever. Overall, the meal came to £74.40, which may seem pricey for a breakfast, but for a family of four, it was worth it in the memories we made and the delicious food we had.
In the lead up to Christmas, you couldn’t have asked for anything better and when we return to London again in the future, we would definitely go back. We honestly could not be more thankful to the amazing Hard Rock team for the warming welcome and the food and drinks they provided. Having these special family moments make our capital so welcoming and I will be recommending the restaurant to everyone I know.
The Hard Rock Cafe also does special steak burgers, main meals, sandwiches, kid friendly menus and special desserts and drinks, until very late at night, with menus being able to be viewed on their website lovelies. Perfect for if you want to grab a bite on the go or for a special occasion at night. It literally is rocking all over the world with the people who walk through the doors and I will be one of them when I go back!
