A few weeks ago, I bravely decided to just cut my hair. Due to having natural curls, I get straggly looking ends easily, which can become super knotty. Experiencing this is a right pain, however, I didn’t want to pay £30 or more to just have them cut off. It honestly didn’t warrant that much.
There so, after watching a few YouTube videos I took the plunge. I have to say that I don’t think I did a bad job to be honest lovelies! They matched in length, all the horrid ends were gone and my hair brush glided through easier. I think I will continue to look after my hair on my own, as it saved so much time, money and worrying in the end.
After taking the scissors to my hair, I got thinking about what I do to look after my hair, as it has really been through a lot. When I was younger, it was super thick. Then it really thinned out when my illness was at its worst. Now still very thin in comparison, I have been able to give it back a bit of life. All through using the following products that I wanted to share with you all.

L’Oréal Paris Elvive Dream Lengths Shampoo for Long, Damaged Hair, £2.25: Having only just converted to this in January, I am now never going back. Hardly using any product at all, this still makes the world of difference, as my hair looks, smells and feels better.
L'Oréal Paris Elvive Dream Lengths Wonder Water 8 Second Hair Treatment, £5: Taking only eight seconds to work its magic, I apply this straight after shampooing instead of using a conditioner. With many conditioners weighing down my thin hair, this wonder water nourishes the lengths of my hair easily in no time at all.
L’Oréal Paris Elvive Dream Lengths No Haircut Cream, Leave-in Conditioner for Long Damaged Hair, £8: After washing my hair, I towel dry it for a few moments and then apply this cream to the ends before brushing it through. This cream smells amazing and has made my hair stronger too.
Barbie Hairbrush, £10: My mum got me this brush a few years ago from TruffleShuffle. Unfortunately they no longer stock it, yet, if it makes a comeback then definitely grab one lovely. Soft and gentle, it works a treat without damaging my scalp.
Thick Brown Pony Bands, £1: To finish off my hair, I plait it into the style of Wednesday Addams. When I was in school, I used to always have it in a pony tail. However, after asking a haircare expert, I started plaiting it more when they told me it was better for my hair. I love how many different styles I can now do with it during and after it’s been styled this way.
I didn’t realise how much the L’Oréal products had made such a difference until I was writing out what I used. This isn’t a plug or collaboration at all. I actually got the water product reduced in Tesco’s and picked up the conditioner cream when I couldn’t find another product anymore. Both are now a staple in my bathroom. My hair smells incredible and I love how soft it is now. I would definitely recommend them lovelies.

Do you ever look at your hairbrush and just throw it away from how dirty it may appear? I mean I’m not talking high levels of grime. I’m talking the normal amount. Well, you may not need to. You can prevent so much waste, whilst saving money too, by just giving it a good clean.
Recently, I did this with mine and my mums. I went to town on them. Using water, soap and tweezers, I removed the hair, fluff and all the nastiest to reveal brushes that looked brand new. My hair felt the benefit of it too. Knowing I wasn’t going to be spreading any of the dead oils, serums and fluff into my hair on a daily bases, something that is horrifying when you think of it, made me feel so much better.
It is time to grab yours lovelies and give it a brand new do with my simple tips to making yours look fabulous all over again…
Wash The Brush: Start the process by washing your brush with a tiny spot of your shampoo. This will help to loosen some of the dead skin and oils that have been resting on the brush.
Remove Loose Hair: Before you can get down to the little bits of dirt, you need to remove the big bits. Grab and take out any hair that is easy to remove from the brush. Place this in the bin when done.
Use Tweezers To Remove Hard Grime: Got fluffy or little hairs wrapped around the base of the bristles? Take a pair of tweezers and pull these up. Then carefully remove and place into the bin. The more you remove the easier it is to see where dirt remains.
Dust In between: Do you have a small makeup brush you no longer use? Take it and dust off any grime between the bristles. This will help to remove anything that may have fallen onto the brush when items were being removed before.
Wash Again: Like you did at the start, use a small amount of shampoo and re wash your brush. Now it is as good as new!
It’s so simple and saves a lot of time lovelies! Oddly, I found it quite therapeutic aha! My brush honestly looked like new and my hair is very thankful for it. I know yours will too lovelies!

Easter is fast approaching, which means a family gathering is getting closer! The perfect time to crack out a puzzle or game to keep you all entertained! Luckily, the brilliant team at Gibsons have created a number of new features to help you find the perfect one for your family! It may even be a great alternative to chocolate!
With sizes differing from 500 to over 1000 pieces, Gibsons gave me a few to try and I honestly couldn’t recommend them enough. Forget finding a place on the table for the big spread because you are going to have to find a spot for your next puzzle instead. Especially if you pick up one of these wonders…
Jokesaws: Midsummer Mayhem Puzzle, £15.99: New for this year, this 1000 piece puzzle will have the whole family laughing, as the strange images come together. Vibrant in colour, the puzzle may look hard, however, it is quite easy to put together in fact. This means that even the little ones can join in with it too. An extra element to this puzzle that makes it better is that you have to find the clues to solve the murder that has taken place within the image. Will you be able to do so? Only creating it will let you know.
Puss Back in Books Extra Large Puzzle, £16: Sweet in size and in imagery, the cute cats in this puzzle make it a classic in the making. When I saw this, I wanted to create it and then gift it to one of the elderly ladies we know on our village. After completing it, I loved the way that it reminded me of the puzzles my grandparents would make. A nostalgic image for all the family to remember for years to come.
Mind the Gap - London Underground Game, £14: The final thing I was sent to trial by the Gibsons team was the fantastic game! I would definitely suggest playing this before the Easter holidays with the young ones in your house. A bit like UNO, it has a more educational feel to it though. You and the whole family will work to get rid of all your cards first by matching up the colours and lines. All whilst learning about the routes and discovering the new Elizabeth Line too. Fun and interesting, what more could you want?
We had a lot of fun recently making and playing these puzzles and games. For something that is different to gift, these are great and perfect for the whole family. There honestly isn’t a family member who wouldn’t enjoy these! I can’t wait to play the Mind The Gap game with my nephew, whilst lending the Puss Back in Books puzzle to my elderly neighbour. She is going to love it!

Good Morning Lovelies,
Today in the UK, it is Mother’s Day. To me there is no one better than my mum! She is a hero. She is superwoman. She is the leader of our family and the person who keeps us all going!
Every single day, she works her socks off. She does everything for everyone. From our neighbours to me and my brother, she makes sure that everyone is okay before herself. I’ve seen her work to the point of exhaustion. Coming in from work and having a nap before heading out to help me or to go to her second job. All whilst keeping our house running.
When she is with me, I feel safe. She is home to me. Since my dad passed away, she has become both parents and I will always be so thankful to her for what she does. I honestly wouldn’t be here without her!
She puts up with everything thrown at her. When my anorexia makes me really struggle, she prepares my meals and helps me eat them. When my anxiety causes me to not want to get out of bed, she finds ways to help soothe me. From sequin art to counting coins, she knows just how to get me out of my head for a few hours. She even gets excited for me. Especially when it comes to Bluey.
Regularly, she comes onto the blog and tries foods for me. She’s my taste tester and never ever moans about it. We have had many a moments of mutual respect when she tries something new, even when she may hate. She is always willing to help me with any project if she can.
My mum is honestly the life and soul of my family. Of my life. I like Mother’s Day, as it gives me a dedicated day to praise her. However, I hope that I show her enough love, care and admiration throughout the year as well, because she deserves it so much.
Mother Lover, I adore, love and thank you so much, today and everyday! You are amazing and I hope you never forget it! Have a fantastic day and love you always!
