Good Morning Lovelies,

If you were a fan of True Detective - the first season - then Mystery Road May just be the show for you! Created in Australia, this crime-filled drama will have you hooked from start to finish.

Set after the film of the same name, the show captures the lives of those living in the small town. A place that is shaken when two young men go missing from an outback cattle station. Working alongside local cop Emma James (Judy Davis), Jay Swan (Aaron Pederson) starts to peel back the layers of the case to uncover the truth. What he finds though makes the town even more terrifying.

Directed by Rachel Perkins, this award-winning cast is given an opportunity to thrive throughout each episode. Tackling a subject many thrill makers love to display the characters are given a mystery piece that wraps the audience up in from the first few scenes.

With not many Australian shows reaching English shores like this, it is a fresh idea. One that is full of inspiration and moments that have obviously come from the works of others. But in no way a bad way.

Pederson and Davis are like an Aussie version of David Tennant and Olivia Colman in Broadchurch. They have a connection that makes the show loveable. Whether it be from gags or the raw emotions that they display at the tougher scenes in the show. It is casting at its best.

As mentioned before, there are many moments were comparisons can be made to other features. Yet, they won’t put you off. In fact, it makes or reminds you of them and if you are stuck in that limbo of what to see once you have finished them, it slots in nicely. A perfect Sunday binge viewing if you will.

There so, I am giving it...
