Deadbeat At Dawn DVD Review

07:00:00

Good Morning Lovelies,

Deadbeat At Dawn is a cult classic heading into its 30th year! A feature that you would likely see played at the Prince Charles Cinema in Leicester Square, the film has seen film fans fall for its right for all the wrong reasons charm and that doesn’t seem to be going anywhere.

Out on Blu-Ray for the first time, in a new format, the feature follows Goose, a gang leader who goes on the hunt for revenge when his girlfriend is killed. There is blood, guts and gore along the way with director Jim VanBebber, who also stars as Goose, definitely not holding back.

Released in time for Halloween, this is the kind of film that will gross everyone out but not scare them to much. It is a bloody affair that ties in the idea of a romance story that just wasn’t meant to be. According to the villains in this plot.

With a mixture of that Sons of Anarchy gang relationships, a short but sweet love affair and a brutal pace of gore, the film has it all. And while there are moments that will make you question why on Earth you are watching it, it manages to be an enjoyable cinematic experience.

There so, I am giving it...

3 Stars
