Pulp DVD Review

07:30:00

Good Morning Lovelies,

Back when Michael Caine was celebrating the success of Get Carter, he and director Mike Hodges were joining forces again to bring to life another British gangster story.

Out today for the first time of Blu-ray, Pulp is a crook based film with oddball moments galore. Playing Mickey King, the film captures Caine play a novelist who is invited to ghostwrite the book of a former actor. Joined by Mickey Rooney, the plot develops into a gangster showdown that has really been forgotten but brought back to life.

Shamefully the story was lost in the charm of others, but it truly shouldn’t have been. Pulp is a great thrill ride that restores the beauty of the work Caine was doing at the start of his career. As a film, many will be experiencing for the first time, it truly makes everything he has done up to it come together in a brilliant way.

Hodges’ has got his star performer back and in top form for this feature that will leave you all wanting to watch Caine’s back catalogue all over again.

There so, I am giving it...
