Six Small Businesses I Have Fallen In Love With In My Local Area and Online!

Hey Lovelies,

I don’t know about you, but I am definitely finding that I am working a lot better at night time at the moment. I know it is bad, but I am simply loving getting into bed and writing. In fact, that is what I am doing right now, whilst watching my favourite YouTubers. Calming and creative.

Two words that I think work well with these six small businesses that I have fallen in love with over the past year or so. They have helped me source items for myself, family members and friends. Or helped me make a difference. Leading me to want to share them with you all to enjoy too...

Native21 Cards: I found this company on Instagram and I have been obsessed with them ever since. I am going to end up doing a big shop on their website soon. I am certain of it. If you have seen their Gavin & Stacey Pam range, you will know why.

Manic Ceramics: Every year, me and my mum make it a ritual to go to Manic Ceramics in Hertford to do a spot of Christmas pottery. With the pandemic hitting small businesses hard, the team at Manic Ceramics have made it their mission to keep everyone happy. From at home kits to feeding bags and boxes that have saved families, my heart lies with this very special company.

Eye Mind Heart: This shop came to Hertford unexpectedly a few years ago. Now, whenever I can go, I do. Tori who runs it is so lovely and she remembers each and everyone of her customers. The shop sells lots of things you won’t find anywhere else and I love it a lot for that. Look out for the cool paintings on the walls.

Dawlicious Jersey Ice Cream: Sadly because of my illness I have never actually tried this ice cream, yet my mum has. She has had lots of the flavours of the ice cream to try. Currently she has a tub of apple and cinnamon flavoured ice cream, in which the team made, in the freezer. Though I am sure it won’t be there for much longer. It is made by an amazing team lovelies and I have known them for years. During the past year, the farm has supplied not only ice cream though. They have fed my village their eggs, whilst also making raw Jersey milk that looks oh so delicious.

Herts Sugar Rush: Talking of yummy foods, a company I discovered over Christmas was Herts Sugar Rush. Based in my local town, the team makes the most amazing tray bakes in their home. From Kinder to Lotus Biscoff, the team creates blondies and brownies to suit everyone's tastes. Plus, they are even able to make seasonal delights. Perfect for upcoming Valentine’s and Easter celebrations.

Matthew Punter Home: I discovered this local company through my friend from university, who runs it alongside her partner. Together the duo make an incredible team, who make the most perfect additions for your home. A key piece I love is the serving tray, but there are loads of other designs and creations to fall for too.

What are some local businesses you love? Share them with me in the comments and I will be sure to look them up lovelies!
