Chocolate Mousse Recipe - BettyCrocker.com

Hey Lovelies,

On Sunday, I had a very bad mental health day, so I decided to take a day away from the blog. I try to post every week a recipe, as part of the Sunday Bakes collection I do. However, I really need to just be with my mind and look after myself.

However, I felt awful letting you all down. I wanted to make it up to you, so whilst you will be getting another on Sunday, I have found a new two-ingredient recipe that you can whip up (literally!) at any time of the day and for any occasion. Plus, you can include your favourite chocolate by doing so.

Get ready to tuck into this fab chocolate mousse recipe with only a few simple steps to follow…

Ingredients
  • 350g Finely Chopped Chocolate (Pick Your Favourite Kind!)
  • 270ml Hot Water
Tools
  • Knife
  • Two Heat Proof Mixing Bowl
  • Whisk
  • Measuring Jug
Method
  1. Place the chocolate in a bowl and add the hot water. Using a whisk, mix until the chocolate has dissolved.
  2. Take the second mixing bowl and make an iced water bath with it. Place the bowl filled with the chocolate and water mixture over it and whisk until the mixture begins to thicken.
  3. Once the mixture has begun to get thick, remove from the iced water bath and continue to whisk until the mixture starts to become soft set.
  4. When this happens, serve immediately with your favourite toppings or on its own!
Don’t forget to share all of your creations with me lovelies! I will happily share them on social media, as I love seeing them and know others do to!
