08:30:00

Good Day Lovelies,

Do you ever just get the feeling to back something a little bit wild? Something that is such a British classic that people have debated about how to say its name, the way to top it and more for years. Well, if so then you have come to the right place. Today’s Sunday Bake is all about scones. The beautiful afternoon/cream tea delight.

This recipe is super easy to follow and with only three simple ingredients, you will be able to make these classics any time of the day to enjoy with a brew. On your marks, get set, bake…

Ingredients
  • 400g Self-raising Flour (Plus Extra To Dust)
  • 175ml Double Cream
  • 175ml Lemonade
Tools
  • Baking Tray
  • Baking Paper
  • Large Mixing Bowl
  • Spoon
  • Cookie/Scone Cutter
Method
  1. Start by preheating the oven to 220°C (200°C fan), before lining your baking tray with baking paper.
  2. Place all the ingredients together in the large mixing bowl and mix with the spoon to make a dough.
  3. When the mixture comes all together, knead for a few moments within the bowl, before placing onto a floured surface.
  4. Using your hand’s press to make the dough around 2cm thick. Then take your scone cutter and stamp out the rounds, placing them carefully on the tray as you go.
  5. Once all your dough has been used, bake in the over for 12-15min or until they have gone slightly golden. When they are ready, remove from the tray and allow to cool or serve them warm fresh from the oven.
  6. Finally, debate on how to say Scone and whether cream or jam goes on first, all whilst enjoying them.
Don’t forget to share your creations with me lovelies, so that I can share them with everyone else! Plus, I just love hearing from you all too!
