Hey Lovelies,

Cosying up on a Saturday with a great podcast is a great way to start the weekend. I often pop one on in the evenings when preparing and cooking my dinner or blogging. Chrisley Confessions, My Favourite Murder and The Archers are just a few of my favourites. However, with a new season comes new series and I can’t wait to get stuck into them.

Dramas, real-life and true crime are all on my list. Plus, with great recommendations, I know that the cold days will be filled with learning something new, falling in love with new voices and unearthing new worlds. Here are a few podcasts to listen out for this autumn…

Love Me: Taking personal stories and mixing them with fiction, this new series looks at the topics that we find so hard to talk about. Whether it be family secrets, grief, love or our use of technology, there is a whole bunch of places and people to listen to and all with touching effects.

Hag: Gathering authors and best-selling writers, this new podcast will take classic stories from the likes of Brothers Grimm and give them a feminist twist. Each voice will be joined by a wonderful world of sound effects and music to bring to life the legends that we have all grown up with in a completely new way.

A Life Lived: Presenting a behind the scenes look at some of the biggest famous faces we have lost, this podcast goes on a journey with family members and people whose lives were touched by theirs, unveiling never revealed secrets. Honest, raw and unnerving at times, this podcast will not only teach you something about the likes of Amy Winehouse and Sir Roger Moore, it will give you a whole new perspective on them too.

Moonface: Made by James Kim, the co-host of The Competition, this new podcast tells the story of Paul, a second-generation Asian-American who must learn how to speak Korean, in order to be able to tell his mother about his sexuality. Displaying love, family emotions and the struggles between two languages, this will pull at heartstrings all over.

Dolly Parton’s America: Who doesn’t love Dolly Parton? Set over nine-parts, this series will look at her life and the appeal she has gathered around the world. I can’t wait to delve into this one and sing along to her songs each week after listening to it.

The Confidence Corner by Callie Thorpe: For a long time, I have followed Callie Thorpe on social media, as I love her fresh and honest take of it. She is a true hero of mine and I can’t wait to listen to her new podcast launching soon. This is going to be my Sunday afternoon chillout selection.

What do you enjoy listening to lovelies? I am always looking for something new, so please do let me know!
