Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice DVD Review

Good Morning Lovelies,

Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice is probably one of the most out there films from the 60s, but unfortunately, that doesn’t make it one of the most powerful viewings I have ever seen. After the first opening section, the story falls flat and the drama between the two couples flops into bed and never wakes up again.

Robert Culp and Natalie Wood star in this feature that tries to take the new wave 60s vibe to a new level but fails to do so to a high level. Each moment feels like it is trying to prove something and with so much pushing towards audiences it makes it hard to watch. Each actor looks uncomfortable too in their lava lamp filled world.

However, it isn’t all bad. There are moments that truly make the 60s pop and some of the contexts in which the film touches on are still relevant and important today. The characters do manage to break some clichés down to turn the story around in small doses.

The film is one to take it how you approach it. If you are looking for a cult or classic feature then you will embrace it, but it might not work for others. There so I am giving it…
