Good Afternoon Lovelies,

As the London Film Festival draws closer and closer (and my excitement grows and grows), the team have announced a very special event! This year, there will be a special presentation of Mike Leigh’s Peterloo live from Manchester on the 17th October.

For the first time ever, the festival will premiere a film away from London, which will be attended by Leigh and members of the cast and followed by a Q&A with Leigh. And don’t fret lovelies if you are not in Manchester, because all of this will also be shown around the UK via local cinemas.

Speaking about the special event, Mike Leigh, director of Peterloo said, “It’s always an honour to be included in the glorious London Film Festival, but how inspired and generous of the Festival to screen Peterloo in Manchester, where it all happened! I’m truly delighted!”

Whilst Tricia Tuttle, BFI London Film Festival Artistic Director said, “In Peterloo, Mike Leigh and his talented cast and crew have delivered a rousing, powerful film of immense scale and ambition. The Festival is thrilled to partner with Entertainment One to host this from the beautiful cinemas at HOME in the heart of Manchester where the film is set, and to take the premiere out to audiences UK-wide through the simulcast.”

This is a great chance to catch the film where it is set before it is released on the 2nd November lovelies. To find out more, look out for the full programme release on the 30th August, which I will share with you as soon as possible.
