Terminator 2: Judgement Day DVD Review

Good Morning Lovelies,

To mark the anniversary of the film, director James Cameron worked with a team to bring Terminator 2 back to life. Unfortunately, the 3D effects couldn’t be brought into homes, but it doesn’t mean we missed out on the beauty of the new format.

Taking audiences back in time, the 1991 sequel to the first hit film is probably better than its original. With Arnold Schwarzenegger, back as the classic cyborg/robot, the film starts were the last one ends off, as John Connor prepares to grow up and save the world.

Effects aren’t needed to bring this story to life but they work even more so. Classic Hollywood blockbusters will always be beautiful to audiences but there is something about seeing the Terminator shine just a little bit more that makes it extra special.

Of course, there are moments that aren’t perfect. Yet, this can’t be helped with technology changing all the time. It is a beauty for the 90s.

Cameron obviously has a place in his heart for the characters in this film and with the modern retelling flopping, this one restores people’s faith. After a quick screening in cinemas in the summer, this re-release will show audiences that anything is possible with cinema, even if it is just reviving instead of remaking.

There so I am giving this much-loved classic...
