The First Trailer For England Is Mine Has Arrived!


Good Afternoon Lovelies, 

I am going to take you back to the 1970s right now! Picture you are in Manchester for a moment. The place were Steven Morrissey was just a teenager who was angry at his working-class existence. You are now imagining the beginning of the upcoming film, England is Mine.

Starring Jack Lowden, Jessica Brown Findlay and directed by Mark Gill, the film captures the early life and origins of Morrissey, the lead singer of The Smiths. As he dreams of having a successful music career, Morrissey finds peace in the underground gig scene, where he meets artist Linda Sterling, who tells him to aim for his dreams.

The film will close the Edinburgh International Film Festival this Sunday, before it is released in cinemas on the 4th August, but you can catch the new trailer for it below:
