Good Morning Lovelies,

Comfort is key when it comes to food and this time of the year! Instead of heading out and sitting in a pub garden, we seek home cooked meals that have a whole lot of heart and soul within them. Including homemade versions of our favourite takeaways!

Saving time and money, there are a whole range of products available in our supermarkets to help us recreate our favourite kinds. Yet, none feel quite as authentic as the wonders from Tropical Sun. Capturing the tastes and flavours of some of the greatest places in the world, their range houses a number of high end goods that you should all be getting on board with.

From sauces to snacks, they have everything your heart could desire to make fakeaway takeaways a whole lot easier to make this autumn/winter. Here are a few of my favourite items that you are going to want to add to your basket when you next go shopping…

Crunchy Mixed Crackers, £2.99: If you are looking for the perfect snack to start your fakeaway night off right than these are the ones to get. Salty, sweet and a little bit of umami help to make these light bites a real treat.

Butter Chicken Cooking Sauce, £2.99: You can never go wrong with butter chicken and this sauce creates it perfectly. Simply pour onto your chicken meat and cook in a slow cooker to produce a mouthwatering curry. Your home will smell incredible as the rich buttery, coconut filled sauce brings the dish to life.

Caribbean Mango Chutney, £2.19: Paired with poppadoms, crackers or simply some cheese at the end of your fakeaway evening in, this sweet and chunky chutney is beautiful. Capturing the freshest tastes of the richest mangos, it tastes truly authentic and homemade.

Chow Mein Seasoning, £1.65: Grab your favourite noodles and add this seasoning, alongside some rich soy sauce, vegetables and meat or fish to make a chow mein that beats any takeaway kind. Once you have used it for the first time, you won’t be able to stop adding it to your dishes.

Korma Masala Cooking Sauce, £2.99: A korma is the ultimate curry in our house. Rich, creamy and full of those refreshing coconut tastes, this sauce rivals any restaurant's kind, as it is made with the most authentic recipe to provide a sauce that feels like it has come all the way from a traditional Indian home. Make sure to use up all the sauce at the end of the night, as it is too good to leave.

Coat & Bake Chicken Mix, £2.99: Making southern fried chicken can seem like a bit of a faff. Most of the time, there is a four or five step plan that ends up with a lot of deep frying. And while this might taste amazing, it is incredibly time consuming. Yet, this handy mix allows for those iconic tastes to be applied in under five minutes. Simply coat your meat in egg or milk before rolling in this mix and baking. When you take that first bite, you won’t need those other iconic spices anymore.

Nigerian Fried Rice, £1.99: Whether paired with a curry, kebab meat or simply some fresh fish, this rice is perfect to serve up with any dish. We loved how the fresh vegetables and spices elevated our curry dishes, with some of it lighting up our lunches the next day too, as it made a great addition to a wrap. A bit like golden vegetable rich but with a bigger kick, it is the rice dish that you may have been looking for.

Cheesy Stix, 89p: Need a little snack whilst you prepare your big feast? These little orange sticks are what would happen if a Wotsit and a Nik Nak had a child. Full of flavour, they are the kind of crisps that you can justify having two packets off in one go, as they are so good.

Bulgur Wheat, £1.39: Forget rice, 2026 is all about bulgur wheat. Providing fluffy grains to a hearty dish, this wheat pairs perfectly with any curry. Plus, it is great to make a rice type stir fry with too. Add in that chow mein seasoning and you won’t ever want to go back to rice again.

Smokehouse Chicken Salt, £4.99: Massive in Australia, this salt is added to many of their takeaway dishes. Now, it is reaching our shores in a big way. Simple sprinkle over your favourite kind of chips and enjoy. No faff or mess to be had but a whole load of amazing flavour.

Salted Crunchy Corn, £1.99: Corn snacks have become huge recently, replacing peanuts for many of us on a night out at the pub. Take that cosy feeling back home with you by popping a few of these into a bowl. I will warn you though that once you start eating these, you won’t be able to stop, as they are very moorish.

These are only a few of the amazing items that Tropical Sun have on offer that can make your next fakeaway night a real winner! Coming in at a lot less than what an actual takeaway would cost, many of them can be used again and again, making your money go a whole lot further too. Head to their website to discover their full range or keep an eye out for them on your next big shop lovelies!

Saving time, money and a whole lot of waiting around for that delivery driver to arrive, they just know how to make us happy! Tropical Sun are really lighting up cosy season with these items!
