Save Your Eyes This National Eye Awareness Week With TheraTears
00:00:00How often do you think about your eyes and how the amount of time you spend looking at a screen has impacted them? To mark National Eye Health Week, the team at TheraTears has presented us with some shocking facts about what our time spent online is doing to us! All whilst creating the ultimate eye drops to help combat the preventable damage!
Good Morning Lovelies,
Every day, I worry about what the amount of time I spend looking at screens is doing to my eyes. As someone who is on their computer a lot, I can feel the strain that the light from it can bring, leading to tired, dry and impacted sight. All of which the wonders at TheraTears are looking at preventing this National Eye Health Week.
Held every September, the week-long campaign helps to raise awareness about the importance of looking after our vision, as we often forget to take care of it. Especially when most of us are spending, on average, four and a half hours a day looking online. A time that grows for the teenagers in our lives, who are spending around six hours a day looking at a screen. Both leading to a lack of sleep, raised levels of digital eye strain and poor eye care.
Yet, these symptoms are often unavoidable, as many of us have to spend that amount of time in front of a screen because of work. Thankfully, TheraTears has created the best eye drops to help improve and prevent any sore, dry or uncomfortable eye situations from occurring. A simple drop of their Screen Eyes drops provides a defence over the eyes that lasts for hours in fact.
Using blueberry extracts that have natural antioxidants within it, the drops create a UV and blue light shield that neutralises the radical effects caused by blue lights. The drops also restore and soothe any damage that might have already been done too by hydrating and refreshing the organ.
Handy to pop into your bag or desk drawer, the drops can be applied when needed to make sure that when the uncomfortable feelings start to build they can be halted fast. Having put some of the drops to the test before, I was instantly soothed and could carry on doing what I needed to with ease.
They also enabled me to get a better night's rest, as they stopped my eyes from throbbing upon me laying my head down for the night. However, TheraTears have created another set of drops that would have helped me if that hadn’t been the case in the form of their Overnight Restore drops. Featuring hyaluronic acid, the drops help to save and replenish the tear film in the eye whilst you sleep, making waking up a breeze.
Knowing how much damage our screens our doing to our eyes is scary. So, when I hear about the amazing work and items that TheraTears have created, I am pleased that I know I have something to turn to. Especially when my allergies hit as well!
With today marking the last day of the dedicated awareness week, there are lots of other things you can do to help your eyes, including blinking fully and regularly when in front of a screen, increasing text size, staying hydrated, taking screen breaks often and leaving the phone away from the bed at night to help you rest and relax.
Combining these with the TheraTears drops will give your eyes the little bit of care and loving that we often forget to give them. Seeing the difference they make will have you falling head over heels in love with them before you know it!
