St Patrick’s Day Week: Create This Easy Homemade Irish Cream!
00:00:00If the Irish are known for anything it is their ability to make a fantastic drink! On the eve of the big event, I thought I would share a recipe for the most perfect homemade Irish cream! Perfect for all year round, you can make a perfect Irish coffee too from this tipple! Pour this beauty and toast to St Patrick’s Day lovelies!
Good Morning Lovelies,
There is a funny story in our house about how my uncle Alan got very drunk on nearly a whole bottle of Bailey’s. A bottle that wasn’t even his, however, someone brought it out at my cousin’s wedding and it wasn’t long before my uncle found it and enjoyed it a bit too much aha!
Since then, we are always offering him a bottle of the stuff, which he never turns down. Much like me, my aunt and uncle love Ireland too, especially when it comes to the drinks in my uncle’s case. There so, I thought in honour of his love and the big day tomorrow that now would be the perfect time for a drinks recipe to toast the events with.
Great at any time of the year, whether on its own or in a classic Irish coffee, this homemade Irish cream liqueur will have you saluting the Irish before you know it…
Ingredients
One Cup of Irish Whiskey (Jameson’s is best!)
One Can of Sweetened Condensed Milk
One Cup of Heavy Cream
One Tablespoon of Cocoa Powder or Chocolate Syrup
One Teaspoon of Vanilla Extract
Tools
A Blender
A Tablespoon
A Teaspoon
A Clean Bottle or Jar
Method
- Start by adding all your ingredients to the blender. Once everything has been placed inside, blend the mixture on low until it is smooth. Don’t overdo it lovelies, as it may curdle.
- After blending, taste the mixture to see how sweet it is or to test the whiskey notes. Add more or leave it depending on your tastes.
- Once ready, pour the drink into the clean bottle or jar and seal tightly. Place into the fridge until ready to enjoy. Before serving, shake the mixture well.
And that’s it lovelies! Homemade Irish cream in less than ten minutes! How will you be enjoying yours? Let me know!
