Moana was one of the biggest films of the year when it was released in 2016! There so, it as only right that Disney brought back the beloved characters to provide us with another sea filled adventure! With cast and crew returning in full form, Moana 2 is just as good as the first in so many ways!

Under the direction of David Derrick Jr, Jason Hand and Dana Ledoux Miller, Moana 2 is making its way on to our screens today, with its home release becoming available. Full to the brim with the Disney magic that we know and love, this sequel is a true pearl in the franchise. 

Reuniting Moana and Maui, the film catches up to them three years after the events of the first film. This time, the twosome, decide to go on an epic journey across the far seas to see if they can uncover Moana’s long lost ancestors. However, nothing is as simple as it seems and they are soon faced with familiar foes. 

Fun for the whole family, the feature brings beautiful original songs to life whilst capturing the essence of the importance of the story. Every single visual element is truly stunning and the familiar friendship that springs to life when reunited with the characters is lovely to experience. 

Whilst the songs are not as captivating as the first, they still provide the beating heart of the feature. As does the beautiful graphics and artwork. Moana isn’t just a Disney figure to inspire young minds, the artists behind the film are too. The work they have done is something that both young and old will marvel at. 

Taking on a whole new realm with this sequel, everything about it works. One of the best sequels from the studios in a long time, Moana 2 is proof that Disney still knows how to make them like they used too. With summer on the horizon, Moana 2 will make you dream of the sun, sea and singalongs throughout watching. What more could you really want? It’s true perfection in every way!
