The Ultimate Homemade Golden Crunch Biscuits Recipe

00:00:00

After speaking about the lack of Fox’s Golden Crunch biscuits in shops, I got inspired to create a recipe for you all for a homemade version! Having done a lot of research, a few attempts and a whole load of making my mum and her friend some to try, I think I’ve cracked it! Here is my recipe for you all to try!

Good Morning Lovelies,

Yesterday, I spoke to you all about my family’s favourite biscuits, including the epic but sadly no longer available Fox’s Golden Crunch ones. I used to absolutely love them and how buttery and chewy they were. It was the perfect biscuit to me!

After a few moments of sadness, in between writing these posts, I decided to put my woes behind me and make my own. With many fails, lots of testers and a final win, I now have a recipe for you all to use to make your own versions lovelies. Be prepared, these are delicious according to my mum and her friends…

Ingredients

150g of Softened Unsalted Butter

Two Tablespoons of Golden Syrup

175g of Self-Raising Flour

100g of Golden Caster Sugar

1/2 Teaspoon of Salt

One Teaspoon of Baking Powder

75g of Crushed Cornflakes

Tools

A Baking Tray

A Mixing Bowl

A Mixing Spoon

Baking Paper

A Tablespoon

A Teaspoon or Fork

Method

Start by preheating your oven to 180°C/350°F or a Gas Mark 4. Then take your baking tray, grease it and line it with baking paper.

Grab your mixing bowl and add in the butter and sugar. Beat together with your mixing spoon until light and fluffy.

Pour in the flour, baking powder and salt and fold together until well mixed. Then add in the cornflakes and mix again until well distributed.

Using your hand or a tablespoon, roll small balls out of the dough and place onto your baking tray. Leave a good amount of space between each one to allow spreading.

When all your balls have been placed onto the baking tray, press the down with the back of a teaspoon or a fork.

Place into the oven and cook for 12 to 15 minutes or until they are golden brown and crisp.

Once ready, let them cool on the tray for five minutes before moving to a wire rack to completely cool. Then you can tuck in and enjoy lovelies!

How will you be eating these classics lovelies? With a cup of tea? Maybe some ice cream? Share your thoughts with me lovelies, as I would love to know what you think of the recipe!
