Walk Right Back Theatre Show Review

00:00:00

Telling the incredible story of The Everly Brothers, Walker Right Back is an incredible production that captures the true heart of their music! Heading back out on tour, after a number of sell out productions, the musical is not to be missed! We headed to our local theatre to find out why everyone loves it so much! Find out what happened right here!

Good Morning Lovelies,

Going to the theatre to see a musical is something that my family loves to do. Especially my mum, who is more than happy to get up and dancing when the music touches her heart. Honestly, take her to see Jersey Boys and she is the happiest you will ever see her.

Therefore, when I was offered the chance to see Walk Right Back, the phenomenal musical about The Everly Brothers, I jumped at the chance to take her. Presented at the Gordon Craig Theatre in Stevenage, the show was produced by the team behind That'll Be The Day, which made me even more certain that she was going to love it, which left me very excited.

Featuring classic songs including Bye Bye Love, All I Have To Do Is Dream and Cathy’s Clown, plus many more of their hits, the show plays out in a timeline of their rise until their most recent reunions. Capturing the heart felt emotions, there is an honesty to the show which shows the brutality that comes with being in a band. Including the feud that split them apart.

There isn’t a moment in which you aren’t singing along, as you realise just how many hits they created. And the voices portraying them present an expertise that makes it seem like you are listening to the real brothers when listening. I was left with a hint of sadness in fact as I knew that my dad would have loved hearing it so much because he would have been very impressed. The talent had truly worked hard to present their best selves possible.

Over the course of nearly three hours, there was singing, dancing, wonder and awe that makes the show one that cannot be missed. Honestly, if you get the chance to see it you should. It’s a musical that deserves to be placed on a West End stage and hopefully it will do soon! It truly deserves it!
