With Bonfire Night and Halloween on the horizon, it’s time to get all the best foods in to treat you, your family and guests too! And you can’t beat a good pasty on a cold night! Especially when it comes with some hidden warmth to it, which Ginsters brand new scarily good creation features! Find out all about this real delicious delight here!

Good Morning Lovelies,

Growing up, we were a family raised on good old fashion pie and mash. In fact, my grandad would often make me favourite pasties and pies, with extras to be stocked in our freezer. For me, they were the ultimate comfort foods, when I needed something to warm me up when it was cold outside.

However, when he wasn’t able to make them, we often headed to our local supermarkets to pick up a few including some fabulous finds from Ginsters. Since his passing, I haven’t been able to enjoy pies or pasties the same, yet my mum still seeks one out of the freezer every week to have with mash, peas and loas of gravy.

Forgetting about what time of the year it is, she will have one. And she isn’t afraid to branch out on flavours too. There so, when I was told about the new scarily good Limited Edition Spicy Sausage & Red Pepper Pasty from Ginsters, I was excited to put her to the test.

Upon the pasties arriving, after kindly being gifted two by the company, I popped them into the air fryer for 10 minutes to warm it up for her, before placing it onto a plate with mash, vegetables and some sauce on the side. I didn’t want to pour it onto the pasty, as I wanted to make sure she got the full force of all the flavours.

Made up of 100% spicy British sausage, smoked bacon, roasted red peppers and onions, all covered in a smoky tomato sauce and seasoned with a subtly hot chilli, within its classic golden puff pastry, the pie came with a medium hot rating. Something my mum agreed was a true evaluation.

Taking a scarily hearty big bite out of the pasty to start with, she wasn’t aware of the heat inside until it kicked in. With a mixture of trick or treat to it, once the heat died down, she found it to be a really delicious pasty that she stated she would happily have again and again.

Unfortunately though, the limited edition quality to the pasty means that it will only be out until the start of November though, so you will have to be quick if you want to try it as well lovelies. Or to stock up on them like my mum is doing! Honestly, the bottom drawer of our freezer now has a load of them in it. However, at such a reasonable price, I can’t blame her.

Whether you are a Halloween lover or not, you are going to want to invest in these pasties because Ginsters has made a spookily good winner that the whole family will love! Heat fans or not!
