00:00:00

It’s a bit later than normal, however, I didn’t want to miss a month out this year! After loosing my appetite due to ill health, I didn’t try much new last month. Yet, I was proud of myself for upping my liquid intake with lots of new yummy juices! Discover what new foods I did manage to enjoy in September 2024 right here!

Good Morning Lovelies,

After another month of health issues, I was put back on antibiotics, which caused a bit of an upset stomach for me. I therefore didn’t find much inspiration to try new foods, however, I did manage to pick up a few new finds during the month. One thing that I really struggled with but managed to tackle was drinking more.

Since being in hospital my eating disorder has made me believe that I could only drink the same amount I was allowed in hospital. It’s caused endless frustrations, yet, with medicines needing to be taken with liquids, I’ve managed to conquer it. The fear is still there but shopping for squash flavours has helped. Two of which making this list!

Find out what new foods I enjoyed in September 2024 here…

Sainsbury’s Luxury Sourdough Crumpets, £1.20: I love crumpets and am happy to have finally found the most perfect ones! This may sound odd but I can’t stand when there are too many holes. These have them but are also perfectly smooth. Great for my Rowse Set Honey to be spread on and warmed.

Asda Squeezy Summer Fruits Squash, £1.29: As soon as I get in from my afternoon walk now, I like to have a warm drink. Squirty squashes have been key in helping me this last month, as they have taken pride of place in my drinks. I was well familiar with the Robinson’s ones but I didn’t know Asda did them. This one is lush lovelies!

Fearne & Rosie Super Berry Strawberry Jam, £2: I love jam but sometimes it can be too sweet for me. After having the reduced sugar M&S one for a while, I stumbled upon this one and decided to have a change. You can tell this is made with real fruits, as they are chunky and sometimes whole in the jar. This leads to a really beautiful authentic taste.

Robinsons Lemon Squash, £2: My mum had this in the cupboard, as she likes to take it to work with her. However, I have been enjoying it too during the afternoon. The lemon really soothes my throat after all the medicine I had left burns, which makes it a big hit for me.

Tesco Tender Vegetable Medley, £1.85: I had been buying the 3 for 2 bags in Tesco’s of the ready to steam individual prepared veg. However, upon looking in store I found this medley, which included exactly what I normally eat for less. Just as fresh and perfect for two meals, I am hooked.

What did you lovelies enjoy during September? Let me know!
