Good Afternoon Lovelies,

For a long time, I have always made sure to try and not upset people when it comes to not liking something. I like to just keep my mouth closed and just get on with things. Especially when it comes to films and TV shows that others adore, and I don’t. There is already so much hatred in the world that not liking a hit HBO series is a little thing that I can keep to myself.

However, recently with people admitting that Game of Thrones isn’t their thing and people reacting hugely to this news, I been having a little think. When did it become okay to fall out with someone because they didn’t binge or stay up all night delving into the world of a show or film that others loved? Shouldn’t we all just not really care?

I’ve always had a weird mix of what I like and don’t. Harry Potter, not my thing. Twilight, huge fan and follower. Line of Duty, you seem kind of great, but I just can’t get into you. The Fall, I will binge on you to the very end.

What I am trying to say is that it is okay to not like something just because everyone is talking about it. As a person who adores romantic comedies, drama, Disney and anything that pumps me up, my viewings are weird. Something I am sure many of you also experience too.

To show you just how okay it is to not like a certain film franchise or TV show, I have gathered a few of the ones that I just can’t get into:

Line of Duty: Sunday nights for me are not about this series, but Victoria. I completely appreciate those that love it and I have been watching it (for review purposes), yet I’m just not hooked on it.

Game of Thrones: I’ve tried three times with this show and I just can’t get into it. I’ve accepted my fate as someone who knows nothing like Jon Snow.

The Harry Potter Franchise: I hate, and I mean HATE this series. I’ve seen them all. They are always on the TV and I just can’t deal with Harry and his friend's world. I’m sorry lovelies, but this is just not my cup of tea.

The Lord of The Rings/Hobbit: I fell asleep watching these films. They are long, I have no clue really what is happening, and I just can’t get myself to fall in love with them. Don’t get me wrong, I appreciate the beauty of the films, but it just isn’t for me.

Killing Eve: I’ve tried twice with this show and whilst I don’t dislike it, I just can’t find myself really falling for it. I adore Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer and appreciate Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s incredible talent, however, I am just not down with Eve.

What shows or films do you dislike or find that you can’t get into lovelies? Let’s celebrate being different!
