With only a certain number of items announced about this upcoming feature, director Rupert Wyatt has managed to make everyone excited about Captive State. Even though we really don’t know much about it!


After hits including District 9 and Arrival, the director sets his next film in a Chicago neighbourhood, a decade after it has been occupied by an ET force, leading to an exploration of how the conflict affects both sides of life. Old and new!

Starring John Goodman, Vera Farmiga, Ashton Sanders and Machine Gun Kelly lovelies, the film has yet to announce when it will be out. However, if this new trailer proves anything it is that it can’t come soon enough…
