Good Afternoon Lovelies, 

The amazing Barry Jenkins is back at last after his first film, Moonlight, which I adored scooped the Best Picture Oscar in a very exciting twist! And I can tell you all now lovelies that when this is released in January, it might just scoop it again from the looks of the trailer.


Adapted from James Baldwin’s novel of the same name, the film is set in 1970s Harlem and follows Tish (newcomer Kiki Layne), a nineteen-year-old girl, who is in love with a young sculptor, Fonny (Stephan James), the father of her unborn child. However, when Fonny is falsely accused of rape and imprisoned, Tish and their families are faced with a race against the clock to clear him of the crime before their baby is born.
