The Diary Of A Nobody DVD Review

07:30:00

Good Morning Lovelies,

Starring Hugh Bonneville, The Diary of a Nobody, is being released on DVD as of today and to celebrate the release I decided to sit down and watch it.

Separated into four parts, the show tells the story of one of the funniest classical books of all time, as it follows Charles Pooter, a Victorian bank clerk, as he tries to raise his social status even more. With added snobbery and more.

Director Susanna White has made a classic story come to life in such a way that it feels as though the classic is still modern. Bonneville makes the character lovable in a time when you probably would not expect it to be.

The story, in fact, seems to fit modern times more so than the time in which it is set in and that is all down to the clever script. At times when it could be hard to follow or to focus on, there is something about it that makes it really stand out and that is the wit within it.

There so I am giving it...
