Hello My Lovely's,

This film was presented to me earlier when I got the press release for it and I think it looks really good! Anything Jennifer Hudson stars in is normally incredible, I mean hello 'Dreamgirls', and this one definitely looks like it is going to match that standard.

'Black Nativity' directed by Kasi Lemmons, stars Jennifer Hudson, Forest Whitaker, Angela Bassett, Jacob Latimore, Tyrese Gibson, Mary J. Blige and Nasir 'Nas' Jones, in this brand new take on the most famous story of all time.

This brand new Christmas musical, tells the Nativity in the form of uplifting, gospel sounds. Focusing on Langston (Latimore), a young teen from Baltimore as he travels to New York City to spend the holidays with his estranged grandparents, Reverend Cornell Cobbs (Whitaker) and his wife Aretha (Bassett).

Struggling in the big city and his grandfather’s strict rules, Langston decides to return home to his mother, Naima (Hudson).

However when things are about to hit rock bottom Langston embarks on a journey of a lifetime, along with new friends and intervention, he discovers the true meaning behind faith, healing and family along the way.

The film is based on Langston Hughes' celebrated play and will be released in the UK on the 6th of December, so watch out for any future news I may have!
