My August 2026 Monthly Favourites
00:00:00August was a real month of reflecting on what I want in life! From the foods I ate to the shows I watched, everything felt a whole lot calmer than it has in a while! A fact that I was very thankful for after a hectic July! Discover what I have been really enjoying over the last 30 days and beyond right here!
Good Morning Lovelies,
Over the last month, I have been really thankful that things seemed to calm down. July was a lot to say the least. So, when I entered into August, I asked for more time to refresh and relax. Something I thankfully got!
During this time, I was able to enjoy more of the little things in life. The things that bring me real comfort and joy. Below are just a few of them that really helped to make my August full of happiness…
My Favourite Film/TV Show - Off Campus: This show has completely taken over my life. I don't know if it is my AuDHD hyper-fixating on it, however, I found myself turning to it a lot when I was having down days in August. Dean, Logan and Tucker just know how to make me smile. Especially in that infamous Thanksgiving fridge scene.
My Favourite Beauty Item - Starface Coconut Blast Lip Balm: At the start of August, I caught a really bad infection, which led to a lot of mouth breathing, as my noise was completely blocked. This caused my lips to get really dry. Thankfully, I had this handy lip balm, which I picked up from SpaceNK to help. Coconut scented, it smells amazing and really helps to soothe any splits I had on my lips.
My Favourite Book - The Deal by Elle Kennedy: Having become an instant groupie level fan of the show, I felt like it was only right that I read the books too. Hooking me in as much as the show did, I am now fully invested in knowing everything about the characters and will be binging on the rest of the series ASAP after reading Hannah and Graham's epic love story.
My Favourite Food - Aldi Kavanagh’s Organic Jumbo Oats: I am a big fan of chunky thick porridge topped with honey. Especially the kind that is made with Irish oats, which seem to hit the spot every time. Normally I go for Flavahans, which is still number one in my eyes, however, I decided to switch things up a little and try this kind. It is made by the same people who make Whites in Ireland and it is exactly the same. I love the creamy texture of it and when mixed with honey, it is pure perfection.
My Favourite Podcast - Parenting Hell: Since they returned from their summer break, Rob Beckett and Josh Widdecombe have really stepped up the podcast. I love the chatty conversations that they are focusing on more, instead of the interviews, as they feel more personal and fun. The madness that occurs every episode is absolutely hilarious and always leaves me feeling good.
My Favourite Moment - The Quiet Times: July seemed to be a really mad month for me and my mum. We went on holiday and then I fell really ill. Therefore, I actually loved all the quiet moments that August brought with it. I was able to focus on my health, work on the blog and connect with people in a more positive way. I have come out of it feeling a lot more motivated to hopefully ace the rest of the year.
What were some of your favourite moments or items from the month of August lovelies? Let me know, as I would love to hear all about them!
