Tigermilk In Spitalfields: Our Summer 2026 Restaurant Review
00:00:00Months ago, the blog was kindly invited to sample the dishes at Tigermilk on Tottenham Court Road! Having been enchanted by the dishes we were served, we were left in awe for days at what we tasted! So, when we invited along to sample the dishes at their venue in Spitalfields, we couldn’t say no! And we can safely say it was incredible!
Good Morning Lovelies,
Last night, the blog was kindly invited back to one of our favourite restaurants to sample the dishes at their newest venue! Based in the heart of Spitalfields in London, Tigermilk have brought their dishes to the hub of the city to delight even more tastebuds. Something we are certain they will do, after we sampled a whole host of them.
Upon arriving at the venue, we were left in awe again at the beauty of the venue. Each room transported us to sunny climates, which matched the hot weather outside perfectly. It felt like each dish was being brought to life thanks to the way in which the rooms looked. Seated close to a window, we were able to feel the heat on our skin whilst selecting our first dishes and drinks, under the guidance of our lovely hostess.
Deciding to go all out on our drinks, we reached for the cocktail menu. Looking for something a little bit different, we went with the wonderfully pink Margarita Azteca (£10.50), which included tequila and sweet hibiscus, as well as Oaxacan Negroni (£12.50). Both drinks were perfect palate cleansers, as they weren’t too strong and provided us with the perfect mix of sweet and sour. You couldn’t drink them too fast either, which meant that they didn’t fill us up before our meals, which began in a very crisp way.
Opting for a light bite to begin with, we started with the Guacamole (£7.50), which came lightly spiced and with the most beautifully crisp tortilla nachos. Sharing them between us, we couldn’t help but all agree that the guacamole got better with each bite. The mix of the soft avocado and the hints of spice worked perfectly to make a real fire on our tongues. It was safe to say that by this point we were ready to tuck into the main dishes.
Having been inspired by the fun name, we decided that if we were going to opt for meaty mains, then we wanted to give the fish a sample in some way. Therefore, we both chose the Tuna Turner (£7.90 each) starter. Made up of marinated tuna, a corn tostada, more of the beautiful guacamole, aji verde sauce and fresh pickled red onions and coriander, the tuna slid down with ease. Each bite got better and better, as the components came together to fight to come out on top. Something that each one of them did at one point.
For a starter, the dish was plentiful but not too filling that we weren’t able to eat our mains. In fact, the starter prepared us for what was to come next. Although we had both thought we would go for meaty mains, we were so in awe of the fish from the starter that we decided to order three mains to share between us. One being a fish base, one a meaty based one and the other being a lighter side that worked with both.
Scanning the menu, we opted first for one of the restaurant's signature dishes, the Coco Loco Ceviches. Priced at £19.50, the main was made of the most gorgeous pink delights. Fresh pollock merged in with the creamiest of coconut leche and the most delightful red onions and fresh fruits including mango and pomegranate, it provided a savoury base that would delight any sweet tooth too. Trying to take it slowly when eating was the hardest thing to do, as it became more and more moorish with each bite.
However, we took it slowly between us, as we also had the most beautiful meat based meal to share between us too. Having chosen two other mains that were made up of beef, we had also opted for the Carnitas Quesadilla (£17.50) and the Tataki Wagyu Al Algave (£29.50). Tucking into the Tataki plate first, we were enchanted by the wagyu meat, which had been grilled and marinated to pur perfection.
Falling apart in our mouths, the dish came alive due to the subtle kick of chipotle that had been added into the sauce surrounding it. Bite after bite, we moaned in pure delight, as the meat enticed us further and further into it. We nearly had a row over who was going to finish it in fact. A row that was only prevented with the knowledge that we both had that we also had the quesadilla to enjoy too.
When the plate arrived with the sliced quesadilla on it, we were amazed at how big it was. Oozing three different kinds of cheese, beautifully pulled pork and the most delicious sauces, the plate also featured an extra jalapeno cream and fresh greens on the side to lighten the meal. As soon as we took the first bite, we moaned at the gorgeous blend of meat and cheese.
Pulling off one of the most impressive cheese pulls that we have both ever done, the dish was demolished in what felt like seconds. We couldn’t get enough of every mouthful and the ending of the dish actually left us in a state of mourning that it was over. If we hadn’t felt quite so full from all of the mains, I think we would have ordered another one. We should have got one for the road really.
Deciding to give our stomachs a little rest before the pudding, we sat back and took in our surroundings for a little while. Basking in the beauty of the venue, we agreed that sharing a pudding was the best way to go, as our little tummies were getting quite full up by this point.
With both light and rich puddings to go for, we really were stuck when it came to choosing which was for us. Yet, it was the Yuzu Lemon Pie (£7.90) that came out on top. Encased in a wonderful golden shortcrust pastry, the lemon curd filling packs a real punch when mixed in with the beautifully soft yuzu and hibiscus cream.
Having no clue what yuzu was or is, we were left in awe of it to the point that we didn’t care. We would have it again and again. Fresh, creamy and full of the most delicious tangy tastes, it was a pudding to die for. We couldn’t move by the end of the meal but in the most wonderful way. It was safe to say that we were in food heave, a place we was happy to be in.
Tigermilk are continuously making waves with their menu and rightfully so! Each dish is pure perfection and as they build their portfolio around London, I can definitely see them becoming the must go to venue in the city. The Spitalfields venue is absolutely stunning, the food is pure bliss and the staff are truly wonderful. If you want to find a place to eat in London, then you will be in safe hands in Tigermilk. Grab a fork and tuck in as soon as you can lovelies, as they are truly a 10 out of 10 in all areas!
