At the moment, it feels like the floor of our kitchen and outer room is constantly covered in dirt, dust and debris from the endless trips we are making to our garden. As much as we hoover, mop and dust them away, they swiftly return, leaving a nasty mess in their wake. Something that has become a real pain to me. 

Both my mum and I like to keep our home as fresh and clean as we possibly can. Especially during the summer, when my allergies are terrible. Yet, sometimes it just can’t be helped. The hard work we put in just isn’t enough when it comes to really getting down and scrubbing away. 

However, with the help of the wonders at Purdy & Figg, we have found a number of new products that have helped to elevate and restore our kitchen and living rooms into a state of shiny wonder. After a long wait, the team has announced the launch of their new summer fragrances that not only make every floor in your home feel like a catwalk, they also make it smell like a magical land too. 

Taking only the most beautiful scents from outside, the team have come up with three new floor cleaners, all of which combined in a handy Floor Cleaner Starter Kit, to help make the final part of any home care a breeze. Kindly sending me the items to try, I was amazed at how fragrant each one was upon opening them. 

Starting with the Patchouli & Cedarwood, I was left in awe at how much it reminded me of autumn, presenting that cosy cottage core vibe I adore. This feeling was continued when I opened the Vetiver & Coriander Seed cleaner, which had a bit more of a smoky scent to it. One that reminded me of sitting by a cosy log fire in the midst of winter.  Yet, none of them came close to the wonders of the Geranium & Lemon scent that smelt of every bit of a summer garden. A garden that you would want to lay down and bask in the sunshine in. 

Super simple to use, each scent applied a new layer to the cleaning process that made it a lot more fun than it ever was before. After filling a bucket for five litres of warm water, only 10ml of the cleaner had to be added in to start taking effect. Dipping our mop in and out of the water solution, the smell intensified, lifting the whole room before it had even begun to do its job. 

After only a few sweeping motions, you could see the floor really begin to shine, in every single way possible. Yet, it didn’t leave the floors slippery like other cleaners can do. Instead, the solution really looked after our flooring, as the natural ingredients seemed to treat it in a more gentle manner. Unlike other leading brands, whose harsh chemicals can strip the wood of its gloss. 

In less than 10 minutes, our floors looked amazing and since the first use, the shine from them has just intensified. We have even experimented with mixing the scents, which led to an absolutely wonderful aroma throughout our house for days. We even had visitors complimenting and being left shocked when they found out it was coming up off the floors.
