Good Morning Lovelies, 

Over the last month, there seems to be so much going on. May is the perfect month to finally start heading out after the cold weather kept us all hibernating inside. Yet, for me, I like to spend it in the coolness of my own home, wishing for the autumn season again. Sorry summer, but you are just not a hit with me! 

However, the following events and items really perked me up, as they brought a lot of fun into my life, as well as moments of rest. The exact combination that I needed to have a really good May. Here are my favourite things from the past month lovelies…

My Favourite Podcast - Dish: I am always on the look out for something comforting to listen to when I am working and this podcast has become my late night companion. I adore the way that they have fun with their guests, asking all the right questions about work, food and fun. The quick fire round at the end always makes me smile. 

My Favourite Food - Sweet Potato & BBQ Sauce: Slice up a sweet potato and coat it in Aldi’s BBQ Sauce lovelies then pop into the microwave for five minutes and you are onto a winner! The potato goes all sticky and the sweetness from both of them is pure perfection. Honestly, it makes me crave it even thinking about it.

My Favourite TV Show - Rivals (Series Two): I was obsessed with the first season and the second did not disappoint. The only thing that I was upset about was that we didn’t get the full amount of episodes, as I can’t stand the wait. Honestly, I need more Rupert and Taggie in my life ASAP!

My Favourite Beauty Product - Bath & Body Works Cozy Vanilla Almond Hand Wash: When I use this, I have to sniff my hands straight after. Providing me with the hit of autumn that I need, it smells just like I have walked into a Christmas grotto. A smell that will never not be a winner with me. I picked this up for £5 at the Bath & Body Works in Stratford, which has some great deals at the moment. 

My Favourite Film - The Devil Wears Prada 2: After 20 years, this film did not disappoint! I won’t lie, I wasn’t the biggest fan of the first film, however, I really enjoyed the sequel. The fashion was on point, the acting was brilliant and the feel good emotions it provided was just the thing I needed. An added film that I really enjoyed this month was Apex, which was mad but fantastic lovelies. 

My Favourite Moment - Down Time/Self Care Events: May felt like the month to refresh and renew. Both myself and my mum spent a lot of time throughout it looking after ourselves better. I tried to eat, sleep and rest earlier and better. I booked in to have my hair dyed again, ready for the start of summer, whilst also embarking on some spa treatments. Me and my mum also had a number of film nights and cosy trips, which helped to encourage me to rest more. It was a month of lots going on but also lots of peaceful times too. A perfect mixture!
