What I Did In March To Prepare For Christmas 2026
00:00:00Christmas is the time of year that I will celebrate no matter what day or week it is! Throughout the whole of 2026, I will be sharing with you all what I got up to each month to prepare for the best day on the calendar! And in March, we prepared in quite a big way when we found a real festive bargain!
Good Morning Lovelies,
After a very festive filled February, things took a bit of a slower turn in March when it came to preparing for Christmas! Whilst I happily continued to plot and plan for the big occasion, I decided that a bit of quiet planning was needed.
This time of the year is perfect for finding those last minute sale pieces. From crockery to even food items that you can freeze and keep until December. Something that we actually did in March. Upon going into our local Iceland, we found a two bird roast joint, made up of a chicken and turkey, which was massive, for just £5.
Straightaway we picked it up and it is now roosting in our big freezer ready to be sliced up and enjoyed in December. Buying it this early may seem a little wild but at prices like that, you simply can’t beat it.
March also allowed us to find some festive PJs, which we will put away until December. Although I will probably still end up getting tempted by the new ranges that come out then, as my festive heart just can’t resist stocking up on those cosy finds. Especially the fluffy socks, which I wear all year round.
I also spent a lot of time in March rewatching Christmas films and TV shows to help me make a list of the ones that I must watch again and again in December. I even went down the cheesy Hallmark route, which you can’t go wrong with on a cold and rainy day in the UK.
This was really all we did in March to prepare for the big event but when I now look back and think about that turkey, I realise that we actually brought one of the most vital components of the day. Without turkey it just wouldn’t be a Christmas dinner and that is coming from a vegetarian aha!
What did you all do to prepare for Christmas in March lovelies? Let me know, as I would love to hear all about your festive adventures!
