Good Morning Lovelies, 

A number of years ago, I was made aware of the wonderful brand, Build Your Own, when I was given a Wallace & Gromit kit whilst at a press event. Upon getting home, I quickly put together the puzzle and was amazed at how sturdy and strong it was. For months, it sat on top of our fireplace, with many visitors commenting on it. 

Since then, I have always been in awe of the way that they make kits that are easy to build but everlasting and fun to play with too. Especially their STEM kits, which are incredibly inspiring and educational. As many of us strive to remove screens from our young ones' lives this summer, Build Your Own, has made these kits to help keep their imaginations strong. And strong they will be!

Having kindly been gifted another set to try, I found myself face to face with the Build Your Own Plane Launcher. With more pieces involved, I knew that this project was going to take me a lot longer than the one I had made before, yet, I was glad about this. I love to be busy and this was exactly what my mind needed to keep me calm during an anxiety attack. 

With the kit including everything that you could need, including easy to press out pre-cut parts, elastic bands and even 10 different designs on the planes that the launcher would fire, I found the set to be perfect for all to create. Using the simple instructions inside it, I soon had the launcher ready and rearing to go after around 45 minutes. 

Making the planes was a breeze too and soon, I had them constructed and placed upon the launcher to fire. Pulling back the cardboard lever, the planes soared high into the sky, leaving cries of joy from both me and my family, as we watched them shoot across our living room. 

We had been worried that upon launching and landing that they may get damaged, yet, the planes were incredibly strong thanks to the versatile cardboard that they were made of. When ones did become unable to be flown anymore, they were able to be recycled easily, making the kits very environmentally friendly too. Something that not make toys can claim to be.

The launcher has now found a place to live on our toy shelf, with all of us having a go from time to time, bringing a sense of joy with it that we had the first time we gave it a go. The kits are a real wonder when it comes to creativity and Build Your Own is a brand that the whole family can use to make their imaginations come to life again. 

As someone who needs to be kept busy a lot due to my AuDHD, I have found the sets to be a real pleasure to build and I am definitely going to be building my collection of them with their Book Nooks. If you can invest in one toy this summer lovelies, make sure to have a look at Build Your Own’s products, as they are wonderful for the whole family to make and for the planet too. You will be launching into an obsession quicker than you know it with them lovelies!
