00:00:00From lifestyle changes to rediscovered wonders, April brought out some of the best moments from the year so far! Discover what made my April monthly favourites list right here!
Good Morning Lovelies,
April seemed like a month of reflection for me! I tried to change a lot of my ways and have learnt that I need to do this slowly. Instead of going diving in head first, I need to dip my toes in one at a time instead. By doing so, I am finding myself becoming a little bit happier day after day.
Something that is only enhanced by the true wonders that have made my april month favourites list. Honestly, without the following, I don’t think my April would have been that special at all, as I suffered from a terrible illness at the start, which didn’t leave off until the end of it. Thank goodness for these beauties…
My Favourite Podcast - Table Manners With Jessie & Lennie Ware: I love hearing about the lives of the rich and famous, as I am a bit nosy that way, and this podcast is really delivering at the moment. Featuring stars who are big or upcoming, I love learning how they were raised, what they like to eat and the little secrets that we don’t know. A recent winner was the one with Claire Foy, who was so pure and a real joy to listen to.
My Favourite Beauty Product - Marc Jacobs Decadence Perfume: At the start of April, I decided to go on a big deep clean of my room. Sorting through all my perfumes, I found this one at the back of my drawer and was instantly reminded of how gorgeous it is. I won’t lie, it is not my normal kind of scent, as I prefer fruity ones, however, this made me feel incredibly confident whilst wearing it. I was sad to learn when I looked it up later on that it has now been discontinued. I am saviouring every job now!
My Favourite Film - Song Sung Blue: I don’t know what this film did to me but I truly loved everything about it. The music lifted me up. The acting was top tier. The story was very original and unlike anything I had watched in a long time. If you are looking for a film that fits into every genre then this is the one to watch.
My Favourite Food - Flavahan’s Porridge With Rowse Dark Honey: Do you ever have a meal that you look forward to all week? I try to stop myself from having this every day, as I do need some vegetables and my IBS would not love it, but I am loving my oats and honey combo again right now. I think it is allowing me to feel cosy and warm even with summer on the horizon.
My Favourite TV Show - Raising Chelsea: I am a bit of a sucker when it comes to certain reality TV shows and I really loved this one. As a big fan of Jamie and Sophie, I loved the raw honesty that both shared with audiences during this. The birth of their son was so sweet and the way that they took to parenthood was lovely to watch. Plus, at only three episodes so far, it was super easy to binge on too.
My Favourite Moment - A Lifestyle Change: One night, before the month started, I told my mum everything. I told her how hard I was finding it to keep up the fight against my mental health issues. I told her that I wanted to change and that I needed to but I was scared. Leading to me revealing all of my fears. Together, we made a promise to try and make small but steady changes and I have been doing so every day of the month. I am getting more sleep. I have cut down on my exercising, as the eating disorder voice was making it a bit dangerous again. I have been drinking more water and trying to eat foods that I used to enjoy (including Cornflakes aha!) but got scared of again. Taking slower steps instead of going in too quickly to the changes has made it a little easier for me and I hope that throughout May I can continue to improve even more.
What were some of your favourite things from the month of April lovelies? Let me know, as I would love to hear all about them!
