A cup of Rosie Lee is something that us Brits are well known for! We absolutely love them and no matter what the situation is we will pop the kettle on and make a brew! Yet, none of them are quite like what you get from the wonders that Yorkshire produces! Including the majestic loose lead experts, Steenbergs! Discover their brews right here!

Good Morning Lovelies,

Whether it be a sad or happy occasion, there is never not a better time to bring out a cup of tea and the biscuit tin! When I was growing up, I would race home from school to find my mum had popped ours on the table ready for us to catch up over. It was these moments that led to many core memories for me that I treasure still to this day.

The cup of tea of choice for me was always the Yorkshire Tea brand, who I firmly state are the brand that makes tea best. However, in recent years, I have had to turn to more herbal tea companies, as my body doesn’t handle caffeine as well as it once did.

This has led to me trying and testing many brews in recent years, including that of the wonderful Yorkshire brand Steenbergs. Producing organic loose leaf teas, the brand captures the wonders of the land through their flavours and ingredients, as they use only the best herbs and spices to craft their blends.

Over the last 20 years, these blends have grown and grown into even more magical ideas, which I was kindly sent to try. Arriving in all their amazing boxes, the teas came donned in designs inspired by the wildlife, lands and meadows that Britain is known for and automatically I loved them.

With each box, I found a blend of Organic English Breakfast Tea (£3.95), Organic Camomile (£4.75), Organic Happy Hippy (£4.85) and Organic Dreamtime (£4.35), as well as a tea strainer, to enjoy. For me, the selection was perfect, as it gave me a tea to have at each important moment of the day.

Starting with the English Breakfast brew, I made my mum a pot to have with her breakfast. Upon taking her first sip, she was overjoyed with the rich flavours that any good cup of tea should feature. When mixed with her choice of milk, she stated that it was a hearty cuppa that when placed out at a gathering or afternoon tea would be something she would be proud to share.

With this level of success, I was excited to see what the other blends would bring. Choosing the Happy Hippy kind next, to have with lunch, we were instantly hit with the camomile, rose and subtle apple notes that made up the tea. Pouring it into our mugs, we found a wonderful colour and taste awaiting us, as we sipped away on the drink in the sunshine. Reflecting everything that we were seeing around us, the floral notes left us feeling calm and relaxed, which is what every cup of tea should do.

This theme continued with the Camomile tea that I made after dinner. As someone who is continuously anxious, the tea soothed me as we headed into the evening. I won’t lie, I was worried about trying the tea, as I had heard it could upset my IBS. Yet, I found it was actually a real settler and I eased into the little bits of work I had to do that night with a breeze. It gave me the energy to keep going but also kept me calm enough to not stress out when things didn’t always work out.

By the time night reached us, we were both ready to try the Dreamtime blend. Made up of St John's wort, valerian, skullcap, lemon balm, oat straw, peppermint, elder flower, hops and a UK blended marigold UK mix, the recipe is made for sleep. Every sip brought out that cosy feeling that oddly made me fall asleep in no time at all. And I struggle to go to sleep! Since that first time drinking it, I have made this a regular night time event, as I am now a strong believer that this helps to soothe my AuDHD brain into a calm state that wants to sleep. Something I think comes from the oats within it, as I often feel sleepy if I have a night time bowl of porridge too.

Steenbergs is a brand that knows how to make sure that their drinkers are left in a relaxed state that I have experienced completely throughout trying each brew. I loved the notes and flavours of each cup. The trust I have in them to help me, whether it be to make a cuppa for myself and others or to help me rest my restless mind, is unlike any faith I have had in a tea brand before!

Have a look out for them when you next go shopping or online, as I would love for you all to experience the wonders of them as soon as you can lovelies! Your kettle won’t know what has hit it!
