Give Your Newborn Baby The Gentlest Of Cleans With WaterWipes!
00:00:00Wet wipes have often gotten a bad reputation! From blocking up our drains to damaging our skin, many deem them to be a horrible feature within the skincare world! Yet, with changing production methods, there are some brands who are really making sure that their kinds are good for all! One of which being the incredible Waterwipes! Find out all about them here!
Good Morning Lovelies,
Okay, so I have a little confession to make! I know this may not make everyone very happy but I have to be open and honest and tell you all that I love a face and baby wipe. Whether it is to clean off my face cream after a busy day or simply to refresh, the ease of having them on hand to cleanse my skin is exactly what I need.
Growing up, my mum was also an avid fan, so I believe that I get this respect for them off of her. Using them throughout her nursing of us, she would use them to mop up our mucky hands and to clean us up after a nappy change happily. Yet, the sort that she used was probably not the best kind for the environment.
Luckily, as time has gone on, brands and companies have been changing their formulas or bringing something new to the market. This includes the wonderful WaterWipes, who have transformed how we look after the little ones in our lives with their 99% water based wipes.
Using only a minimum amount of ingredients, WaterWipes have made cleaning cloths that are suitable for all ages, starting from Newborn to adult based ranges. Two of which I was kindly sent samples of to try to help my best friend find the best wipes for her baby who is due in July.
Starting with the Newborn Sensitive 3 In 1 Wipes, these gentle cloths have been made with only 99% purified water and a little fruit extract, to make sure that from the moment your baby is born their skin is cared for. With no plastics, artificial fragrances, parabens or sulfates included in the wipes, they are full of only goodness, which we all agreed could be felt upon pulling out a few.
When you hold a packet of these wipes, you know that water is key, as they feel a lot heavier to carry than other kinds I have tried. Don’t let this put you off though, as it is a sign that they are telling the truth, as the water weighs down the pack to keep every single one as moist as you would like.
Having applied a few sticky, dirty and cream based marks on each of our skins to test the wipes, we each began swiping. For the sticky substance, we had used a little jam, which came off in next to no time at all. A factor that we saw also happened when we wiped off the little mud marks that we had also applied to our arms.
As for the cream, we had applied Sudocrem, which is harder than clay to remove. Yet, these wipes managed to get it off easily. Something we were pleased to see, as it meant that if it was needed to be used on the little one, we wouldn’t have to create any redness trying to wipe it off. Whilst we know that a newborn baby may not have these marks on them, they may face just as tough situations that we are sure Waterwipes could work their magic on and remove.
Having been left so pleased with how well the newborn kind worked, we then decided to try the more grown up version on our skin too. Applying makeup, pen marks and a little bit of jam again to our skin, we opened up the packet of the Original kind, which was made up of the same ingredients to give them a go.
Again the packet was quite heavy, as you could feel the amount of water that had been placed into them, which gave us confidence that they would be able to help lift the tougher stains off. Rubbing one of the wipes across our eyes, the mascara and eye shadow lifted easily, with only a few extra wipes needed to remove all of the residue left. Whilst the jam and pen marks came off with minimal applications too.
Seeing and feeling how effective the product had been gave us confidence that when the little one arrives, WaterWipes will be the brand to use. Whilst there are many other alternatives, which I have used a lot of throughout the years, these just felt so much more gentler and kinder to each of our skins. All of which being very different, as we tried them on my mum’s, which gets very dry, my combination kind and my friend’s sensitive sort. Therefore, we were certain that no matter what kind of skin the baby has it will be well looked after.
Plus, with the brand creating The Wipe Dance, in partnership with cognitive neuroscientist Dr Bradley Vines and global music lab Squeak E. Clean, they are also making the process of cleaning a lot more fun, as the song removes the stresses of cleaning up by a lot. You can find the song online now at YouTube and on other music platforms now lovelies.
Having never tried WaterWipes before, I am so happy that we managed to try them and discover how wonderful they are on every skin kind before my friend’s baby is born. Placing the remaining samples into her nappy bag, she was eager to tell us all that she is confident with her baby wipes choice and will not be using anything else! Well, they do say that mother knows best and it seems WaterWipes is just that lovelies!
