Happy World Book Day Lovelies! Whether you are celebrating by helping your little ones dress up as their favourite characters or simply relaxing with a good book, I hope you are having a wonderful time! Especially if you are kicking back with a great audio version from the wonderful YOTO collection that has been released to mark this year's very special book event!

Good Morning Lovelies,

Today marks one of my favourite days of the year! Honestly, I adore World Book Day! When I was at school, it would mark the time when the school book fair would come to visit and I can remember feeling so spoiled when I was allowed to buy a new book from their stall with my mum.

Reading is a real joy to me and I find that there is no better feeling than closing the last page on an amazing book. One that you can’t stop thinking about for days. One that you have to take time to get over in some cases. I also believe that this feeling is also felt when you get to the last section of a good audiobook too.

Recently, I have found myself being drawn into the world of audiobooks, as listening to someone tell you a classic story is utterly soothing. Upon popping one on before bed, I feel like I am being transported back to my childhood when my mum would read me a story before I went to sleep. A time, which I will forever treasure, as the magic of being told a story before being able to dream about it is unmatched.

Therefore, when I heard that YOTO had teamed up this year with World Book Day to help young people enjoy the wonders of so many stories via their players made my soul incredibly happy. Having built a huge collection since they started, the YOTO website is full to the brim with classic, modern and character based stories that make days like today even better. Especially when the brand is donating £1 from every book in their World Book Day Donation collection that is live on their website now.

Having taken a look at the books on offer, I quickly added a number to my must-listen to collection and so, I thought I would spend today celebrating these wonderful stories with you all. Get ready to fall in love with these magical stories all over again…

The Lion Inside And Other Stories: The World Of Rachel Bright & Jim Field, £7.99: Explaining different emotions to children can be hard, yet, within these stories about a brave lion or arguing animals, they are easily explored. Whatever your little one may be going through, popping on one of these will help them a lot by letting them know that what they are going through is okay. Give them a moment of calm with this collection this World Book Day to come to terms with it all.

Who’s In Your Audiobook?, £7.99: If your little one has never listened to an audiobook before, this is the story to listen to first. From the moment it begins, they will be hooked in. I am certain that once they have heard this story, they will want to listen to even more.

Coming To England, £5.99: I remember this book changing my life when I read it when I was younger. Finding it on the shelf of my primary school’s library, I was amazed at how Florella Benjamin had captured her journey to the UK. Educate the whole family with this epic audiobook from an absolute legend.

The BFG, £9.99: A few years ago, I was unable to read a book. I had no interest and I could feel that my illness was causing it. I had heard someone say that reading a book from your childhood could help, so I turned to Roald Dahl and read his full collection. One book that stood out amongst them all was The BFG. It is a book that I believe made me fall in love with reading again.

Room On The Broom, £7.99: When I see this book, I think about the way that Julia Donaldson has managed to make so many of us happy with her fun stories. From The Gruffalo to Tabby McTat, they are truly enchanting. Room On The Broom is a real gem in my eyes, as I loved how funny this witch was, especially when I was little. It is a real classic that the whole family will enjoy.

As official partners for World Book Day, I am overjoyed to be sharing the work that YOTO are doing today and everyday to help encourage our little ones to read! It pains me when I hear that many children have never enjoyed a book and with easy access to books in this form, it makes me very happy that they can listen to so many classics that will make their childhood even better! Have a look on their website to see the full range and check out the World Book Day Donations range to help make a difference for all on this amazing day lovelies! Then sit back and enjoy a spot of Paddington and co!
