Happy Mother’s Day Lovelies! I hope that however you are celebrating today that you are having a truly magical time! To mark the occasion, I thought I would celebrate with you all by letting you get to know my mum a little! My own superhuman who I will forever be grateful for! Everybody, get ready to say hello to my gorgeous mum, Jane!

Good Morning Lovelies, 

Happy Mother’s Day to you all! Today, I wanted to celebrate a very special woman in my life. The person that has made me who I am today. The person who has shown me continuously how important it is to be a good person and to look after others, as well as myself, as much as I can. The person I am celebrating is my gorgeous mother lover (my nickname for her), Jane!

To me, my mum is a superhuman. I am incredibly grateful that she is my person and I will be forever thankful to whoever gave her to me. Over the past 30 years, we have been through so much, with even more probably coming that we will have to deal with together. Yet every time, we have been there for each other in ways that we are both grateful to have had one another for. 

Since I was small, I have seen my mum looking after someone. When I was young, I saw her become the soul carer for my grandad, before becoming one to me and my dad. I could see how hard it was on her at times, however, throughout it all, she always manages to smile or remain as positive as possible. Even when I know she was and has been close to breaking. 

When my dad passed away, I witnessed a bit of her leave with him. Yet, I also saw her become stronger. She has always gone for what she wants and his passing made her determined to make him proud. She got her dream job, made new friends and started going out more, having fun at every possible chance. Something I know he and I always wanted for her. 

On Mother’s Day this year, we agreed to have a cosy day at home, with me looking after her as much as possible. She has cared for me in more ways than I can retell to you all, making sure I never fall down, even when I have been very close to. She holds my hand when I need her to. She cuddles me close when I need reassurance. She listens to every weird thought I have. She is simply amazing. 

My love for my mum is endless and I could never state how much I adore her. She is my best friend, sister, mammy, mother, partner in crime, surrogate dad and more. She is my everything and I am so thankful for her today and every day. We used to be the three musketeers when my dad was around and now we are the dynamic duo. 

Mother Lover, if you are reading this, thank you for everything. I love you to infinity and beyond, to the moon and the stars and to eternity. You are my personal superhero and I can’t wait to see what else the future holds for us! I hope you have a truly wonderful Mother’s Day!
