Discover New World's In 2026 To Celebrate The Year Of Reading With YOTO

Being able to read and enjoy a book is something that every child is entitled to! Yet, I know that with many lifestyle factors playing a big part in our every day abilities to read, it can be hard to help them discover the real joys in reading or listening to a story! Thankfully, YOTO are changing this with their fantastic book selection!

Good Morning Lovelies,

Ever since I was young, I have loved to read. When I find a book that I love, I get so hooked into the world I am reading about that you often won’t see me for hours or days until I have finished it. You will then find me in a state of mourning upon closing the final page.

This love stems from my local libraries, which I still go to and wonder at whenever I set foot in them. However, with rising costs and fees, these places are being shut down quickly, making it hard for children to pick up a book that will change their world. Plus, with the rising lifestyle changes that many families have, including my own, finding the time to really be present with a book can be hard too.

These are all things that have led me to become more of an active listener when it comes to stories. I have found myself wanting to hear the author or reader narrate a story to me. Whether it be whilst I am out on a walk, writing a blog post or simply potting around the house, there is a real comfort in hearing the words come to life off the page. Something I know that if I had spent more time enjoying as a child I would have seriously adored.

Therefore, when I heard about the amazing new scheme in which YOTO were working on, I was eager to tell you all about it. Hoping to encourage more children to enjoy stories, the team have been working hard to build a huge collection of audiobooks for children and adults of all ages to enjoy.

Whether it be tales from familiar faces to classic stories that have lasted the true test of time, they have something for everyone to enjoy. Honestly, I popped on a Funny Bones book the other day and fell head over heels in love with it all over again.

With all of this in mind, I thought I would share with you all a few of my favourites from their collection that will encourage your little ones to read, listen and also enjoy the wonders of books again…

How To Catch: Spring Pack, £9.99: As we head into Spring, this gorgeous book will help to mark every social occasion on the calendar in a child friendly way. Whether it be going on an adventure to find a leprechaun on St Patrick’s Day or discovering where the Tooth Fairy is, these stories will bring to life those big moments in a fun and educational way.

The Dinosaur That Pooped Collection, £11.33: Let’s be honest, there is something quite funny about poo, especially for our little ones. This sweet collection follows a dinosaur and his human companion Danny, as they head out on wild adventures. Covering space, regency and more, your little ones will be laughing along to these from the moment they begin until the very end.

Disney: Winnie The Pooh Storybook Collection, £9.99: 2026 marks 100 years since this little bear was created, so it only seemed right to go back to the start and listen to the stories that made him so popular. Lifting our spirits in every way, this is a collection to snuggle up with on a rainy spring day. Plus, it will remind you of being little too, as the classic stories have that way of transporting any listener back to their youth.

The Fairytale Hairdresser Complete Audio Collection, £9.99: Think you may have the next big thing in hair and makeup? Well, these funny and sweet stories will encourage them further to become the ultimate beauty kings and queens. Perfect for slightly older ones, the stories involving Kitty and her friends will delight the whole family.

Where’s Spot And Other Stories, £9.99: Spot was a real hero of mine when I was small, so when I spotted this collection on the YOTO website, I couldn’t help but want to listen along to it. The familiar sounds of Spot and his friends soothed my soul, whilst also entertaining the younger people in my life. Spot seriously never gets old in my eyes and neither do the stories he features in.

Little People, Big Dreams Bundle, £22.99: If your little one is looking for some inspiration to help them decide what they may want to be when they grow up then this is the bundle for them. Sharing the upbringings and careers of many famous faces, including Elton John, David Bowie, Muhammed Ali and more, everyone who listens to these stories will learn something new about the people they are focusing on.

AND if you are looking for something to teach your little ones the wonder of lyrics and how wonderful the written word can be when it comes to songs then you will love sharing the new Olivia Dean album with them! Featuring all of her Brit and Grammy award winning hits, The Art Of Loving, will have all of the family up and dancing, whilst enjoy every song word for word.

Reading truly is a wonderful thing and as 2026 marks the year of reading, now is the best time to pick up a story or pop one on a YOTO machine and enjoy it as a family! YOTO has a whole load more choices to pick on their website lovelies, so make sure to take a look over there to see what ones may take your fancy! I am off to fall into the classic world of Where’s Spot to help relive my youth!
