Use Up Your Festive Leftovers With This Delicious One Dish Recipe
00:00:00We may be in the later stages of January but if your home is like ours, you will still have lots of festive leftovers! To prevent them from going to waste, I have created a fun recipe that will use them all up in the best way! Bringing a sense of comfort that this season brings, once you taste this you'll love it!
Good Morning Lovelies,
Currently, in our fridge, cupboards and freezer, we still have meat, stuffing, vegetables and sauces galore from Christmas. And honestly, we are getting a little bit sick of having them lying around. Not wanting them to go to waste, me and my mum have been trying to think up different ways to make them more interesting and I thought I would share one of our creations here.
Using every single leftover item that you may have from the big event, this bake is a one tray dish that will set your tastebuds alight. Once you take the first bite, you will be wishing it was Christmas every day. It is like the inside of a Greggs Festive Bake on a plate…
Ingredients
Two Cups of Chopped Leftover Meat (Turkey or Ham Work Best)
Two to Three Cups of Chopped Mixed Leftover Vegetables (Peas, Carrots, Parsnips, Potatoes)
One Cup of Leftover Gravy
½ or One Cup of Bread Sauce
One to Two Cups of Boxed Stuffing
Salt and Pepper, To Taste
Tools
A Baking Tray
A Mixing Bowl
A Spoon
Method
Start by grabbing your baking dish and adding in the meat, vegetables, gravy and bread sauce.
Stir to combine before seasoning lightly with the salt and pepper.
Make the stuffing as instructed on the box and spread evenly over the top, a bit like a crumble. You can add a bit of cheese on top of this too if you have some leftovers and fancy it.
Once ready, place into the oven and bake at 200°C for 20 to 25 minutes or until the filling is bubbling and the stuffing is golden and slightly crisp.
When the bake is ready, remove and serve whilst hot!
This is the perfect bit of festive joy to bring back that little bit of Christmas magic in January! Plus, with those leftovers being used up, you will enjoy it even more, as you will be able to claim that you let nothing go to waste this year! Winner winner, Christmas leftovers for dinner!
