Blogmas Day 16: Sip Away On This Christmas On This Delicious Festive Rose Hall Luxurious Eggnog Recipe

00:05:00

Christmas is the most magical time of the year to gather everyone around for a festive drink! This year, my family is going for something a little different! Something that we have not ever tried before! Eggnog! After taking a sip of the good stuff, I've come up with a recipe that will allow you to experience it in a brand new way! Get those festive mugs at the ready!

Good Morning Lovelies,

A few weeks ago, I was made aware of the great Rose Hall Luxurious Eggnog, a classic drink all over the world. Full of rich and creamy flavours, the one litre cartoons have been making festive seasons come alive for years, yet, until we had it in our hands, we had never tried it before!

Upon taking that magical first sip, we found a gorgeously rich milk drink that when warmed up felt like a hug in a mug. My whole family and our friends could really see how it is a Christmas classic, which made my heart fall in love with it even more.

Getting that magical first experience made me think about all the people who have never tried it or know it so well and how much I want you lovelies to experience it in a refreshing way too.

Therefore, I came up with a new recipe that will introduce you to a fun, cosy and perfect way to enjoy eggnog at Christmas in a whole new way. I hope you like this cinnamon based mocktail as much as we did lovelies…

Ingredients

Two Cups of Rose Hall Luxurious Eggnog

One Teaspoon of Maple Syrup

½ Teaspoon of Ground Cinnamon

¼ Teaspoon of Ground Ginger

A Pinch of Ground Nutmeg

Optional - Whipped Cream, Frothy Milk, A Cinnamon Stick Or A Few Star Anise (For Topping)

Tools

A Saucepan

A Mixing Spoon

Two Festive Mugs

Method

  1. Start by taking your saucepan and adding in the eggnog, then heat over a low medium setting. Do not allow it to boil.

  2. Once warm, add in the cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and maple syrup and heat until warm and fragrant.

  3. When hot enough, pour into two or three mugs and top with the whipped cream or milk to create a fluffy cloud-like topping.

  4. To finish, garnish with the cinnamon stick or star anise. You could also add a sprinkle of cinnamon on top or a drizzle of caramel to make it pop.

This drink is Christmas in a mug and my family can’t get enough of it now! Super simple to make, it can be made in five minutes. The right amount of time to find the festive biscuit tin to serve alongside them! Perfect on its own or in a recipe like this, the Rose Hall Luxurious Eggnog will help you to give your guests the best start or time over the festive period that they could want! And who doesn’t want that at Christmas!
