Blogmas Day 11: My Forever Favourite Christmas Films That You Have To See!

00:00:00

Christmas films are everything our screens need when it comes to December! Every day of the month, I try to make sure that I watch something festive! Especially the films that I wanted to share in this post lovelies, as they are truly wonderful! From family friendly features to romantic tales, I hope you can enjoy them as much as me this month!

Good Morning Lovelies,

When it comes to the festive season, I often find myself reverting back to the classic films and TV specials that I love time and time again. Whilst there are always amazing specials being added to our screens each year, I find that nothing compares to the iconic films that we have all grown to love.

In a cupboard in my room, I have two shelves dedicated to just Christmas features and as soon as the 1st of the month hits, I raid it. Picking a different one each day, I often find myself picking one of the following six multiple times. These are my ultimate festive films that I think everyone should be watching this season lovelies…

Home Alone: The leader of all of the films that I have to watch at Christmas is Home Alone! Seeing Kevin saving his family home makes me incredibly happy and I am not afraid to admit that I will watch it all year round. I even have the LEGO version of his home on display too! Watching this will make your heart jump with joy, even if you are not the biggest festive fan. You will be a filthy animal before you know it!

Nativity: Sparkle and shine by watching this feel good film lovelies. Following a primary school in the UK, who are made to believe that Hollywood are coming to see their nativity play, the film sees Mr Poppy and Mr Maddens having to lie to them and the rest of the staff, as they work to put on the most epic show ever. The whole family can sit down and enjoy this one lovelies.

The Holiday: I love a good festive romance! Whether it be in a book or film form. This one reigns over all of them in my life though. Seeing Kate Winslet, Cameron Diaz, Jack Black and Jude Law all fall in love brings me such joy. We watch this about four or five times each December and even accept it as a New Year’s film too to make the watching sessions last a little bit longer. My Napkin Head always approves!

Elf: Everyone who knows my mum and how she is knows that she is Buddy the Elf. She is even called it at this time of year. We always sit together and watch it as soon as it is acceptable. We love to see Buddy just living his best life and spreading festive cheer. If anyone can make you feel Christmassy, Buddy can.

It’s A Wonderful Life: My dad would always tell me to sit and watch this film with him and for a long time I wouldn’t. Then one night, I went to bed and watched it. After it had finished, I raced downstairs and told my dad that he was right all along and it became the film that we would watch together at Christmas to start the season. Now, whenever I hear a bell ring, I know that my dad has got his wings!

Christmas With The Kranks: I have a fond memory of going to the cinema to see this the weekend it opened. I went with my brother and his friend and loved every second of it. I can happily watch this film any time of the year. Seeing them plan to go on a cruise and have to completely transform their festive season makes me smile throughout. I don’t care that it doesn’t have the best reviews, to me it is perfect.

There are absolutely loads of Christmas films that I could have included in this lovelies, as I am just the biggest fan of them. However, these six are the ones that I could watch again and again, every single day of the year! They all bring a real joy into my life and will forever be classics in my eyes! What film do you have to watch every December lovelies? Let me know, so we can share the love!
