Creams is a place that knows how to serve up a sweet treat well any time of the year! Yet, at Christmas, they go above and beyond with their amazing seasonal specials! Having been gifted the opportunity to trial the new menu at their Cheshunt store, me and my mum headed down to sample their Christmas delights! Find out what we thought here!

Good Morning Lovelies,

All over the country, Creams is creating a wonderland of sweet delights that the whole family can enjoy! From waffles to crepes, their menu is full of things that can bring an instant pick me up and that is why I love it so much!

Having sampled their summer menu, which my family adored, we were kindly invited back to try their festive selection. This time though, we went a little closer to home, as we headed to the Cheshunt store. Tucked into a cosy corner inside a large Tesco’s, the restaurant was decked out in Christmas decorations that made you instantly feel welcome. Something that was made even more so by the greeting we got from the amazing manager, Nur and her team.

Making sure we were comfortable and prepared for anything, they handed us the menu which we spent around ten minutes choosing from, as we couldn’t decide what to pick. Knowing we wanted to try as much as possible from the new winter selection, we opted for a few seasonal options, alongside their classic dishes that are always a winner.

Handing over our order to the team, we asked them if they could provide the meals for us to take away, as we wanted to really cosy down with the dishes. Happy to help us with this, we left them to prepare it for around 15 minutes. During that time, they made us their festive Sticky Toffee and Tiramisu Hot Pockets (£6.95 each), their new winter Pistachio & Milk Chocolate Goo Bake hit (£6.45), as well as a super warming Latte with festive Cinnamon and Caramel syrups (£4.45).

They also made us some of their classics, including a BBQ Chicken Hot Pocket (£6.95), their Popcorn Chicken Waffle Bites (£6.25) and their new Teriyaki Chicken Hot Pocket (£6.95). All topped off with their continuously amazing Lotus Biscoff Doughnut (£3.45). Kindly putting everything in insulated boxes and chilled pots for the ice cream, we were handed the bags by the brilliant Nur, who went above and beyond for us, before we headed home to taste them.

After a mini photoshoot of the items to share with you, which my mum spent the time drinking the Latte with the syrups to huge praise, we were quick to tuck into the savoury items first, starting with the classic Popcorn Chicken Waffle Bites and both Hot Pockets. My mum was super excited to try the new Teriyaki Chicken Hot Pocket, as it looked so fresh and inviting. Made up of a crispy crepe filled and topped with cheese, chicken bites, crispy onions, teriyaki sauce, fresh spring onions and the Creams special sauce, the oozing pocket was the most refreshing bite to enjoy on a cold day. Warming from the inside out, it was the perfect mix of sweet and savoury and every bite just got better and better. The chicken fell apart in your mouth. The cheese stretched miles long in the most dream like way and the fresh and crisp onions gave it a tang that was lip licking in every way.

This was replicated with the BBQ Chicken Hot Pocket, which we had tried before but found to be so much better oddly this time around. Filled with Creams signature BBQ chicken, melty cheese, loads of fresh vegetables and drizzled in the Creams Special Sauce, which is topped with fresh parsley, it is the kind of dish that you could eat every day and never get bored of. The Cheshunt team had filled the pocket completely and we were nearly full up from it. Yet, we still had room for the crisp Popcorn Chicken Waffle Bites, which when mixed with the Creams BBQ Sauce are always a winner. Chicken and waffles just simply can’t be beat.

The pockets had left us a little full, we left it a while before heading in for round two with the desserts. Heating up the Tiramisu and Sticky Toffee Hot Pockets a little in the microwave, they both came oozing and gooey, which was exactly what we wanted. Filled to the brim and covered in the most beautiful silky sauces and beautifully sweet ice cream (we had popped this into the freezer whilst waiting), we grabbed a fork and took a bite of each. The Sticky Toffee Hot Pocket, which had been made for the festive season, was the most delicious dessert that you could have asked for!

Made up of a crisp crepe that had been filled and topped with caramel custard, crumbs of sticky toffee pudding, fresh pretzels, mini marshmallows, chocolate shavings, toffee sauce, cinnamon dustings and a scoop of vanilla ice cream, it was all the best bits of Christmas in one. Honestly, when we reheated it, the smells that filled my house made me so excited for the 25th of December, I couldn’t believe it. My mum moaned in sheer joy when she took the first bite and even declared that it could rival an actual sticky toffee pudding, which is her normal pudding of choice. Only rivaled in summer with a tiramisu.

Speaking of which, we then grabbed the Tiramisu Hot Pocket that had been mixed with the richest of chocolate to make the most beautiful pudding ever. The crepe pocket had been filled with coffee custard, rich chocolate fudge cake pieces, a crispy chocolate crumb and white chocolate blossoms before being topped with a whole load of white chocolate sauce, a dusting of cocoa powder and a giant scoop of the richest coffee gelato ever. As the daughter of an Italian ice cream man, I can safely say that the ice cream rivals that in Italy in fact.

Every bite of this dessert was like a real tiramisu. It was all the best bits with even more wonders added into it. Not too overpowering or sickly, it was decadent and so beautiful upon seeing and tasting it for the first time that we both wished that it could be ordered to go with our Christmas dinner. Honestly, once you scoop up that first bite, you will never be able to eat a normal tiramisu the same again. It just won’t compare to this!

Full up from our meal, we left the Lotus Biscoff Doughnut and festive Pistachio & Milk Chocolate Goo Bake until the next day, which we had with a cup of tea. Again, we heated the Goo Bake up to make sure it was super soft inside and after 30 seconds it was perfect again. Chunky and filled right, the pistachio chunk cookie had an oozing milk chocolate centre, which added a wonderful coating to the nuts that had been drizzled on top, alongside a white chocolate sauce. The cookie could easily be shared by two, providing a really good size piece for both. As could the doughnut, which we had tried before and loved both times. As a doughnut loving family, the Creams ones are some of the best around challenging many of the leading brands in terms of size and taste.

If you are looking for somewhere special to take your family this Christmas then please head to your local Creams Cafe. The Cheshunt one has some of the most amazing people running it, who will happily welcome you with open arms before serving you with the greatest sweet delights you will ever eat.

At a great price, with amazing specials and combos available too, as well as the opportunity to order the pieces to your home, there are so many opportunities for you and your family to have a really special December with them! Forget the mince pies, it is all about Creams’ winter menu this Christmas!
