Whether it be a soothing bowl of porridge or a buttery piece of toast with fruity jam, a hearty dish first thing can really make a day better! A fact that Rollagranola knows, as they have launched a family friendly granola that is sure to be a real hit!
Good Morning Lovelies,
A few years ago, I shared with you all the amazing launch of Rollagranola, a breakfast brand that my whole family has loved ever since our first taste. Perfect for building up yogurt bowls or even as a snack, the brand knows how to make a granola that is full of only the good stuff, including nuts, seeds and lots of protein.
Since 2023, the brand has worked hard to expand their range, with even more delicious takes on their adult based collection. However, it is their latest creations that are worthy of a winter breakfast for all. Made with little ones in mind, their new Little Rollas boxes feature no nasty or artificial ingredients, just healthy ones that help to make little ones stronger.
With over 4g of protein and over 25% of nuts and seeds, the naturally sweetened cereal has tons of vitamin D to help strengthen bones. Something that is vital for all of us, whatever age we may be. Having kindly been sent their new range to try, I decided to put it to the test on my mum, who is in her 60s and the little ones we know.
For the adults in our home, we were given the Awesome Almond, Pecan Maple Twist and their Organic & Nutty boxes, whilst the little ones received the full Little Rollas collection, which included their Vanilla, Berry and Cocoa granolas. Deciding on the perfect way to have them, my mum served hers up with a bowlful of Greek yogurt, whilst the little ones opted for cold and warm milk.
Trying the Awesome Almond kind first, my mum poured a small amount into the yogurt before taking a bite. Straightaway you could hear the crunch from the nuts, as she took a big bite. With the added sweetness from the dates and nutmeg featured in the recipe, she told me that it really made her think of the warming spices that come throughout Christmas and winter, which made her feel cosier inside. With this in mind, she decided to take a bite out of the Pecan Maple Twist, which she actually opted to have with warm milk.
After thinking about her options, she decided on this, as she wanted to let the cereal sit in the milk whilst it cooled a little bit. By doing so, she allowed for the maple syrup and ginger flavours to seep into the milk to give it a taste explosion when she had it. Instantly moaning, she said that the mixture reminded her of the first bite you get from a delicious gingerbread man. Instead of holding back on this bowl, she finished the lot, which she said she had no regrets about, as she loved the cereal so much.
Thankfully, she still wanted to try the Organic & Nutty kind, which she had tried previously and loved. Full of huge nuts, she found that they gave her the most traditional granola taste, but in an even better way, as she knew that she was getting a lot of protein from it and the yogurt. Plus, knowing it was made organically made her feel like it was a whole lot better for her body than those full of synthetic ingredients or highly sweetened.
After such a successful taste test on the adults, it was time to put the latest collection to trial with the little helpers I had. My friend’s little boys love a good bowl of cereal. Normally going for the berry and chocolate kinds, they were a bit shocked when I gave them these bowls, as they found that the bits looked bigger. A fact that won them over completely.
Using milk in each bowl, the boys decided to try the Little Rollas Berry kind first, as they were intrigued by the red swirls made in the milk. Mixing freeze-dried berries with their oat, nut and seed based clusters, the boys tucked in and instantly said that the granola was super tasty. The box was quickly finished by the end of the week, as they had also tucked into it as a snack too, along with additional fruit in their lunchbox, which led to them requesting more.
Something I was happy to help them with, as I handed them the box of Little Rollas Vanilla Granola. Using real vanilla canes, natural sweeteners from coconut sugar and nuts and seeds, this protein packed dish led to even more delight, as they used it to fuel them up before a full day of fun. The vanilla taste led to a milkshake-like bowl at the end, which they also drank, whilst the granola pieces kept them full and happy until lunchtime.
It wasn’t until I gave them the final box though that I truly saw them fall into real breakfast happiness. The Little Rollas Cocoa Granola is sprinkled with natural cocoa powder that really brings the bowl to life. Covering the oats, nuts and seeds, the organically sweetened cereal flavoured the warm milk we served it in to create a lip licking site. Once they had the first bite, they asked for more and it wasn’t long before the box was finished. Seriously, it was all gone by the end of the weekend they started it on!
Knowing her little ones could enjoy the cereal, without having to think about them taking in any nasty fake ingredients, gave my friend a real sense of joy. Telling us all how she intended to switch her normal brand to the Little Rollas one, I was glad to have helped her kids enjoy a hearty dish at the start of the day. Something that also spread to my mum and her joy at the bowls she tried.
Rollagranola are a brand who know how to make a breakfast that is not only tasty but also filling and healthy for the whole family. Elevating how we start those cold winter mornings, you can be reassured that any chill you may feel about crawling out of bed will be made easier knowing that a bowl of this is waiting for you.
Grab a spoon and get ready to tuck in lovelies, as you seriously don’t want to miss out on a bowl, which you can find on their website, which features a whole load of other kinds too! You just can’t beat a good old bowl of cereal!
