A Fairytale At Christmas 2025 Show Review
00:00:00Experiencing Christmas in Ireland is one of my biggest dreams! And sadly it is just that at the moment! However, that didn’t stop the blog from experiencing a bit of Irish festive magic, as we took in the amazing show A Fairytale For Christmas at the Gordon Craig Theatre in Stevenage! From classic carols to Irish folk music, the show featured it all!
Good Morning Lovelies,
Anyone who knows me knows that I love Ireland. Specifically Dublin, the place where I feel like I can truly be my own self. If someone was to offer me the chance to move there, I would jump at the opportunity in a heartbeat. I love the city and the country that much and I dream of spending the festive period there!
However, with so much happening at home, I am having to live the dream through others at the moment. Or well, I thought I was going to have to until yesterday, when the blog got the chance to see the incredible show, A Fairytale For Christmas.
Created by the team behind the smash-hit success, Seven Drunken Nights - The Story of The Dubliners, the show is a jam-packed music and dance based extravaganza that brings true joy to the soul.
Filled to the brim with Christmas classics including, O Holy Night, Santa Claus Is Comin’ To Town and I Wish It Could Be Christmas, the audience are on their feet throughout, even during the Irish songs, which are also incredible.
Presented in the style of an Irish pub, the concert gives a brilliant overview of the rich music scene that Ireland is so famous for. Every song is a sing-along hit, making the whole viewing a real pleasure. Even if you know nothing about the country or the city, you will learn a lot by the end of it. And probably book a trip there too!
Great for the whole family, the show is welcoming to all, much like any venue in Dublin is. The cast want to give audiences something that will stay with them long after they go home and they really do.
Touring around the UK, Europe and the US, the show deserves to be celebrated by all, as it creates a magical Christmas filled spectacular that really kicks off the festive season well. If you see it playing at your local theatre lovelies, try and take a trip to watch it if you can. You won’t regret it! Though your bank account may afterwards, as you will definitely be booking a trip to Dublin after watching it!
