In the lead up to Christmas, many of us will be restocking our festive drinks cabinets! However, what we select to take up a place on one of the shelves is unknown to us! Our house has a very special shelf within it. In a cupboard under the stairs, the top shelf within it holds all the alcohol our house processes. From Aperol to Pimm’s, there isn’t a kind that can’t be found in there. Including gin. Lots of gin! 

From fruity kinds to the good old fashioned sort, we have a bottle to cater to everyone. Something that makes us a bit of a bunch of pros when it comes to mixing up a cocktail or two. However, something we didn’t have until recently was a bottle of the fantastic Tumbledown Gin. 

Having been contacted by the team and told of their one of a kind creations, I was gifted two samples to try. Under the advice of one of their experts to have it with a special tonic, we mixed up a glass on a chilly Sunday afternoon to go with our roast dinners. 

As soon as the first sip hit our tongues, we could instantly tadte the fresh junipers, orange and liquorice within it. Yet, it was the original elements of scurvy grass and Angelica Root and Orris that really stood out to us. Presenting a real fiery taste, every drink provided hit after hit of peppery tastes that were really pleasant.
