After years of being scared of bread, I am so happy that I have embraced it back into my life. Especially when it is officially picky bits season, where a classic sandwich, baguette and burger bun are must haves! However, with so many on the market to choose from that can actually be quite scary within itself.

Thankfully, the wonderful team at Robert Andrew have crafted a whole new selection that will lift any picnic or BBQ this summer to new heights! Kindly, gifting me them to try, I was happy to break out the fillings and spreads to give them a try. 

Fresh this season, the team have made both Low-Carb Sourdough Baguettes and Low-Carb Brioche Buns, which are huge, tasty and absolutely kings of the social gathering! Slicing into the sponge rolls and baguettes, they smelt so fresh, even after being in their packaging that they didn’t last long with my family around.

Using the baguettes to make garlic bread, bacon sandwiches and classic chicken salad subs, they each lasted for three to four meals, which is fantastic for two pieces. They had a hearty texture to them that gave the flavours of the feelings a big boost upon tasting. Something my whole family agreed on. 

When it came to the brioche buns, we had a few with some epic burgers. Yet, in our family, we like to use brioche buns for a little Italian dessert. Filled with fresh, rich ice cream, the buns added a bit of that Mediterranean style to our desserts. And in the most delicious way possible. They truly were a product that could be used in so many ways and wonderfully so.
