Good Morning Lovelies,

Books are life and they definitely give me it! I find the satisfaction of holding a new novel or closing the page on a great read some of the best feelings in the world! There so, as we head into June, I am very excited to present the books that have made it onto my display at Hertford Library!

Get ready to fall in love with some epic new fictional world’s lovelies…

Book Of The Month: First Time Caller by B.K. Borison: Anyone who is a fan of the film, Sleepless in Seattle will adore this book. When a single mum is faced with her love life being put in the hands of her local radio station, she soon finds that the host may be more than just a friend. It’s a romance for a new generation with all the classic tropes.

Bat Eater by Kylie Lee Baker: After witnessing the tragic murder of her sister, the leading lady is left on edge after her murderer whispers two words to her. Bat Eater. Cleaning up crime scenes by day, she is soon left fearful, when bats begin to appear at the places she works. Don’t read this before bed lovelies!

The Last Weekend by Hannah Begbie: When one woman brings all her friends together to stay in a beautiful AirBnB, secrets are spilt, leading to changes that they will never forget. It’s a really provoking read that will stay with you for a long time after turning the final page.

What If I Never Get Over You by Paige Toon: Toon is well-known for making wonderful romance books that leave us all very emotional. In her latest novel, she does the exact same, but on a very intense scale. Tissues at the ready.

The Influencers by Anna-Marie McLemore: With influencer culture continuously on the rise, McLemore has made a family that resembles The Kardashian’s, to show the shocking nature of race, class and social media in modern society. Best to put your phone away for a while after this.

Fun For The Whole Family by Jennifer E. Smith: Nobody’s family is perfect, especially not the one in this book. However, that is what makes it such an enjoyable read. Think Outnumbered by different. In a very good way.

Story Of My Life by Lucy Score: They say opposites attract and they couldn’t be more right with this romance. Score is back to provide us all with the summer feel good book that we all need.

Quicksilver by Callie Hart: Anyone seeking a new romantasy book than this is the one for you. Full of war, romance and mythical legends, this YA novel is not for the faint hearted. A sequel is due out soon, so be prepared to want to binge read it quickly.

May You Have Delicious Meals by Junko Takase: Unlike anything I have read in a long time, this is an interesting take on the daily office events through the use of foods. Some scenes are truly shocking, with others being relatable. You will constantly be reminded of certain scenes when you next do your grocery shopping.

Enchanted To Meet You by Cara Stout: It’s time to head to a theme park, a royal one in fact, as this new book follows a young girl as she begins at her new job. One that sees her having to dress up as a regal figure daily. All whilst facing her bosses moaning son.

Beach Read by Emily Henry: If you are looking for a book to enjoy whilst sitting by the hotel pool or whilst sunbathing on the beach then this is the one. Henry is the queen of fun, easy to read, romances and this one is just perfect to enjoy during the hot weather.

What have you all been or are reading lovelies? Let me know! And don’t forget to head to Hertford Library or your newest one or bookshop to enjoy these great summer reads!
