To celebrate, I wanted to share April’s collection with you all, as I would love for you to all enjoy them yourselves lovelies! Get those library cards out and ready to be used ASAP! You will be binge reading these very quickly!

Every week, I am going into my local libraries again and I am really enjoying the vast selection that they are constantly getting in! To mark the start of a new month, I have gathered a few to pop up in Hertford Library on my display!
Whether you are popping in there or visiting your local library or book shop, I wanted to share this month’s collection to allow you the chance to find a new read to enjoy. I hope you like my April 2025 selection lovelies…
Book Of The Month: Welcome To The Hyunam-Dong Bookshop by Hwang Bo-Reum: This book has featured many times in my options at the library, however, I recently read it again and still love it so much. If you love reading, books and book shops, it’s truly perfect.
Divine Rivals by Rebecca Ross: This young adult fantasy story will enchant both young and old! Fighting new emotions, gods and magic, our two young journalists must overcome them all to be together. A great new YA series for all.
The Seven Year Slip by Ashley Poston: What would you do if the person you started falling for lived seven years in the past? Well, this is something our leading lady is faced with, as she falls for a chef and his charms.
Let’s Split Up by Bill Wood: When the most popular couple in town are murdered, a bunch of teens unite to solve the brutal incident. However, they soon find themselves haunted by the person who committed the crime. A very intense read indeed!
The Hunger Games by Susanne Collins: With a new book in the series about to come out, don’t miss the chance to go back to the start. Katniss Everdeen will forever by an iconic literary heroine.
Rival Darling by Alexandra Moody: If you love an enemies to lovers story then you will enjoy this. It has all the sports tropes that you could want making it the perfect romance read this April.
The Sirens by Emilia Hart: When a young woman goes to stay with her sister, she finds her missing. The only thing that remains is the strange stories from the towns people about the mysterious disappearances of the men that lived there. And the strange happenings that occur in the seas surrounding them. Get a copy of this ASAP, as it’s going to be a popular read.
Faebound by Saara El-Arifi: The world was once made up of three beings in this novel, however, after when war breaks out, only one remains. Or so it seems. Be transported into a mythical and magical world that will leave you unable to sleep until you’ve read just one more chapter.
The Secrets of Blythswood Square by Sarah Sheridan: When a young woman is given the opportunity to start her own photo studio, she jumps at the chance. However, hen an expected friendship comes from it, she is soon finding out about a whole over side to the art. A perfect book to binge in one go!
My Name Is Maame by Jessica George: In this very raw and real book, Madame takes us all inside her home and the realities of being an adult. From tense family situations and the loss of a parent to dates and friendship conflicts, it’s a beautiful honest story that you will content to in one way at least.
Weyward by Emilia Hart: Witches and mystery rule this book that flips between two eras to tell a magical story. You will be kept guessing about what the leading character will find right up until the end.
